Hey all - I LOVE water slides! Which park do you think has the best one?

At WDW I've been on the OLD slide at CBR & thought it was lame. As far as themeing goes, the dragon slide at POFQ is nice, but not much action. Ol' Man River slide at POR is pretty sweet. When we swam at OKW, the slide was already closed for the evening so I couldn't render an opinion. I've seen Keyster Coaster at BW and it looks awesome; as does the Stromalong Bay slide at the BC & YC.

Does WL even have a slide??? I didn't see one...

I must confess, I'm pretty much at the point where our family books our resorts based on the slides... and we may consider a future DVC purchase so I'm really curious about your thoughts!

Thanks!
:tinker:

The new slide at CBR is enclosed and it is a lot of fun!

As far as the best, most people usually say YC/BC and BW. I'm sure someday we will give them a try!

A good pool slide is very important to us too!

The CSR Jaugar Slide is a favorite of many posters. Pictures can be found under the Resort Photo thread of the Dig Site pool.

The best one I have been on was the one at SAB. You are right though, the walk was kind of a pain. The one at Boardwalk looks pretty cool.

SAB! Our teens rode that slide over and over. A day at the YC is not complete without a trip (or ten!) down that slide!

The Keister Coaster at the BW was a blast, there is a small slide at WL that is very simple...

According to the boys, 8 and 11:

#1 - Beach Club/Yacht Club
#2 - Caribbean Beach Resort
#3 - Coronado Springs

Polynesian, then Grand Floridian to follow....

They have never been to Boardwalk's circular coaster style slide but the video's on YouTube would put if up there as #3 according to their comments.

This is actually how we have chosen our multiple stays this summer...based on the pools and their slides.

Hmm, well, that makes me wonder - I've seen it widely has mentioned that Keyster Coaster is 210 feet long. How long are the other slides? How many turns? (Wouldn't it be neat if one of the WDW afficianados actually made a chart and/or studied these items?)

Yes, the YC/BC slide does look neat - I was a bit reluctant to book there because I'm not thrilled about my child having to walk across a public sidewalk to get to the staircase. (If memory serves me correctly, I think we took a boat from YC/BC across to the BW and you walk right underneath the slide.)

Interesting replies!

As for the actual slide, I think I may go with SSR or Poly. I think that the pool area at SSR is fantastic.

My DS (just turned 11) has been down the slide at SAB & the newly remodeled CBR pool. I just asked him & he says:

"Definitely the Beach Club".

He enjoyed the new pool at last month at CBR, but after going down the slide 10 times, he was done with it. Nothing beats the SAB slide.:thumbsup2

Both my husband & my 6yr old DD LOVE the Polynesian volcano water slide. They went on it over and over (and over!!!)

I got a WRETCHED double ear infection from going down the Beach Club slide over 100 times in one day!!!!

We have not stayed at many resorts to make a fair comparison, but for what it's worth the Poly slide is pretty cool. It is fairly long and goes through the volcano. Plus the resort theming is great.

We loved the Poly slide! It was a blast and there is music piped in the slide...so cool!

Our first two trips to WDW we stayed at POR (first time it was Dixie Landings). My dd loved the pool slide there. But, the first time she was just 6, and had never been on a pool slide before, and the second time she was 8 and with a buddy. But, as she got older, she just didn't care for the slides at the moderates..not long enough for her.
Now, she loved the slide at the Polynesian. That was fun...but I hated it because I don't like being enclosed. The slide at SAB is fun but you do have to go outside of the area and cross that sidewalk. The slide is long and fun.
My dd, now 15, loves the Keister Coaster at BW though. Me too. It's fairly long with constant curves.

Love this thread. This is also a factor when booking a resort for my family. We thoroughly enjoyed the CSR slide, but now I want to try every slide at least once. When we stayed at AKL we never went in the pool. Does anyone have an opinion on this slide?
