Best Resort to Waitlist

Trying to piece together a NYE trip.

What would be the best resort to waitlist for 3 nights?

Not sure if Riviera would be a good one as more rooms may come available thru declaration but just throwing that out there.

SSR 1bd preferred.
AKV Kidani sav view 1bd.
This is the second time I’ve stalked the 2 wks around xmas and those are your best bet for getting a complete stay. Don’t just waitlist though. Stalk the website. I started 10 days ago. Now have SSR 2bd st Dec 18-20, SSR 2bd preferred Dec 20-1, SSR 1 bd preferred Dec 21-4. Almost there but have sunk dozens of hrs stalking.

in the last 12 hours I’ve seen Poly, BLT & AKV available for 1 night stays for Dec 29 or Dec 30.

Poly is a good one to waitlist especially the standard view. I would take whatever nights become available and waitlist and stalk for the other 2 nights.

yeah trying to stalk might be the way to go as ive seen things come and go. poly might be a really good option just bc of the amount of studios.

How often are you refreshing the page for your stalking?

Depends. This past weekend every 1/2 hr. At work once every 60-90 mins - I couldn’t check all afternoon this afternoon for example. I am especially vigilant in the AM and after supper - that’s when I see the most changes.

was able to grab BLT for Dec 29-31. Just missing 1 night.

Poly has opened up week of christmas so thats encouraging too.

I just got SSR studio preferred for Dec 29th like 5 days ago. Watching for other options. Saw BLT lake view but DH said no.

I have Jan 29 waitlisted at OKW and BWV (p/g view) studios. Just set up yesterday.

came together! im currently missing only 1 night, the 31st. but there’s a couple rooms open for christmas eve at the moment. so it comes and goes quickly.

He is not a fan of MK area. Boo. Because I like to change things up every now and again. We always stay at BWV, SSR and AKV.

I saw that BLT you grabbed. That's when I asked DH about us switching to there the 29th. Think it was Sunday or maybe Monday. I will still stalk but am happy with SSR. But I do need a room for Jan 29th now too so I am really stalking that. Won't be picky.

So I checked a little bit ago for Jan 29th. Selected all resorts in studio or 1BR. Started scrolling and AKV Jambo had a value 1BR open. So I hurried and grabbed. But then did a modify to see if there were other things. And it showed across a studio at OKW so I modified to that to save a few points (plus we have AKV for Jan 15th already). So stuff pops up. Want to say there was 1 other place too...Copper Creek maybe. I have 10 holding points I need to use so I may do a waitlist for the Dec 29th (have SSR) on Oct 29th....for BWV and RR. Or 2 types of rooms at BWV.

Oh, and I had a waitlist set up for OKW studio for Jan 29th and it didn't pull it. I grabbed it myself. Ugh.

And got BWV for Dec 29th earlier tonight. It's a 1BR instead of studio. But that's okay. We have the points for it.
