Best resort restaurants close to Magic Kingdom?

Looking for recommendations for excellent dining options we could get to from the Magic Kingdom. Looking to leave for a few hours but make it back in time for the fireworks. Open to suggestions!

I really like Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary. It will also be the fastest as it's served by monorail and a very quick walking path.

For a longer travel time but great atmosphere you can take the boat to Wilderness Lodge and eat at Geyser Point. It's outdoors and more casual...but one of my favorite places on property

For something more casual, Kona Cafe at The Poly or Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary would be good choices. There's also Geyser Point (a waterside table-service restaurant at Wilderness Lodge) that's walkup only, so go early.

ETA: If you're looking for something higher-end, Citricos or Narcoossee's (assuming you're visiting after it reopens on April 1) at Grand Floridian or California Gril at Contemporary would be the way to go IMO.

Steakhouse 71 is my personal favorite in the area. I also like Citricos and California Grill as well in the higher end range.

Grand Floridian cafe is very good for casual and also Gasparillas if you want a quick serve some very good options there

Totally agree on both. We ate at Steakhouse 71 twice in Dec because of how good it was. Geyser Point is always a go to. Whispering Canyon Cafe is another of my favs.

I ate lunch at Steakhouse 71 a few trips ago and it was probably one of the best meals I've had on property. I also love Kona Cafe but mainly for breakfast. If you want some light food and good drinks I'd also recommend Tambu Lounge outside O'hana at the Polynesian.

Citricos continues to be one of my favorite restaurants on property. Highly recommend. Also love the Geyser Point at WL as well (much more casual).
