best resort -moderate resort and deluxe resort top 2 in each

i plan on going next month for 7-10 days and it will be the first time we are a family of 4 i need some in sight

I think you're going to get a whole world of different answers here, but here's my 2 cents:

Deluxe:
1. Polynesian
2. Grand Floridian

Moderate:
1. Port Orleans Riverside
2. Caribbean Beach

2. Port Orleans French Quarter

FYI, the answers change, based on ages of kids. Are we talking little ones, or tweens, or teens?

With the Deluxe's I think that the Monorail resorts are better with little ones, where as teens are better off at Epcot area resorts.

So more info might help?

If the kids are able to handle some walking, the resorts around the Boardwalk are great.

1. Boardwalk
2. Swan
3. Dolphin
4. Yacht and Beach Club

Staying at one of these lets you walk to the back entrance of Epoct and the front entrance of Hollywood Studios. Plus all the entertainment around the Boardwalk area.

2. Beach Club

Moderate:
1. CBR
2. Port Orleans French Quarter

Have stayed at all except Beach Club. Loved them all CBR is our favorite moderate.

Most convenient to transportation and don't have to go outside to get to restaurants.

Moderate

Caribbean Beach (largest rooms)
No second choice, although I have stayed at all.

we havent stayed at any of the deluxe, however, i can say that those hotels are a little more convenient since you have three modes of transportation available (outside of a car).

My two favorite moderate would have to be: POR and POFQ.

CBR and POR are the only 2 mods I have stayed at and loved them both.
I will probably never see the inside of a Deluxe!

Beach Club
Moderate: CBR

Really a toss-up. Stay at both like them the same. CBR room was a bit cleaner.
