Best resort for the Half and Marathon

For those that have run in the past has there been any discount codes available for the WDW resorts?

We got a AAA rate this year for POP & WL. I think we paid $70 for our first night at POP & then $220 for wood view WL. They should be coming out with rates later this month.

129.00 a night for a water view at POR. That's on the AAA rate.

I've only done one WDW race, last year. But the Swan and Dolphin offered special marathon room rates that week. They were very good. $129 I think it was.

don't they send that info out in the emails they send out? i never pay attention to it. we're using some of my parents points...

ANyone able to get an AP rate in the past? I've got an AP but never paid attention to that time of year before. I would imagine they would be hard to find availability on such a busy weekend.

I got an AP rate in 2005 for the BWI - Concierge Deluxe room. I don't think many AP rates were avail but I can't remember exactly. The marathon has gotten bigger and bigger and it seems like alot of the room selection is already gone for 2007 so I would bet availability for AP rates is going to be slim. If there is a resort you are hoping for I would go ahead and book it now for fear you won't be able to get it by the time the AP rates come out. I noticed CR wasn't showing any availability for that week end when I booked a few weeks ago and it seems like I read a post that POR is also showing sold out??

Thanks, I already booked the Poly for that weekend at rack rate a few months ago. That's where we have decided to stay regardless of rate. It's just having the AP it would be nice if a discount was available, but I am not expecting it for the weekend. We are switching to WL on Sunday I am hoping as people leave an AP rate might become available for part of that stay. Now if an AP rate was available for that weekend for WL I would consider switching to their for entire stay. But we are looking forward to trying the Poly, even at rack rate. Just can't afford to do the whole 11 days there. Plus WL feels like home for us.
