Best resort for teens

Only choices available when we go are SSR, AKL and OKW (1 bedroom)
Girls are 12 and 15. Plan to come back from parks mid day to swim so a pool with a slide is key!
They get along but would probably prefer their own beds and I know some of the rooms have a couch and sleeper chair. Arcade is a plus too!

would stay at OKW or AKL (kidani) they both have the sleeper chair - all 1-bedrooms have the queen sleeper sofa.

SSR has the best arcade. it is the only dvc resorts with 2 pools with slides. plus walking to DD (springs) is probably a bonus with that age group.

AKLK one bedrooms have 2 bathrooms and a sleeper chair, OKW has one bathroom and the sleeper chair. The arcade at OKW is just okay.

I have to chime in. DVC owner since my 2 were babies. Now as teens they love SSR. NEVER a resort I wanted to stay at after built..but now we golf and they love it so it is a "go to" resort for my family. I am sad to say that DisneyQuest is closing but they can walk over to DTD and go there and just walk around. I don't get it, but they love it. They go to the Candy Cauldron and walk around and come back. So easy by boat or just a brief walk. They love the amenities at SSR and I have to admit, I think it makes them feel independent. I am a slight helicopter mom, but knowing they are close within walking distance relieves me. Just my 2 cents.

AKV Kidani is better from a room and bath standpoint, SSR might be a better location. It just depends on which part is more important. Were it available, BWV would likely be my first choice for the size, especially for a 2 BR standard instead followed by AKV value. Of course neither of those are likely to be available.

My family of adults kids loves BWV and won't stay anywhere else unless I plan last minute trips and then they are okay with SSR. Having stayed at AKV as well as owning there, my family likes the rooms but hates the location. Its pretty boring for teens I'm told. We usually use my points there for one or two nites and then move to BWV. Young children love AKV though.
