Looking for recommendations, please!
We will be spending a significant time at the resort, and aren't sure which to choose.

GF is our #1, but looking to save some $.
Looking to possibly go to Poly, but am definitely open to WL, BC/YC.

We have 2 girls in elementary school.
Looking to see which Deluxe is everyone's favorite for RESORT time.

Depends on what time of year - if it will be warm (not late December through Feb) and your girls love swimming then BC/YC and Stormalong Bay are a great choice. We love to enjoy the Boardwalk, rent surrey bikes, watch movies on the beach, roast marshmallows. You can even see fireworks from DHS, Epcot and MK from out on the Boardwalk or on the path to DHS!
I'd have a hard time staying at the Poly and not going to MK - just seeing the castle might be a bit of torture. But at the Poly you have great access to a ton of restaurants and just riding the monorail and the boats can be an adventure if your kids are small enough!

Those are all great resorts. We love all 3. We love the BC/YC area, especially the Boardwalk at night. There are fun activities. You can easily walk around. The pool is great and having Beaches and Cream right there is a plus.

We love the lobby of the WL - there was a lovely lady that worked at the DVC booth that would spend time pin trading with our kids. If she got new pins she would remember our kids. The waterfalls are nice plus getting to watch the geyser erupt.

We also love the Poly - we love that lobby too. When we were there the pool was being renovated - we are going back this summer and can't wait to try it. Our kids also love riding the monorail.

Didn't love staying at the GF. We do enjoy sitting in the lobby when we are eating at 1900 PF but I wouldn't pick the GF even if the money was the same.

You can't go wrong at any of these 3 resorts. They all have movie under the stars, campfires, etc. I can't say anything about the Poly pool since I haven't seen it but the BC/YC pool is wonderful if that is a priority.

Enjoy Disney wherever you stay!

AKL for quiet time and animal lovers. BC/YC is our current favorite and we will be back again in August. Lot's to do there but more active than the restful AKL. WL was a mixed bag for us. Not a big enough pool area but good reading nooks and great mini mouse boating.

GF or BC gets my vote. I love the stores and eating places at GF, the cabanas by the pool. BC has Storm a long bay which is pretty neat. Lovely resort. Whole of EPCOT or BW to dine. I would be happy as a clam in either of those.

I'd vote for YC/BC. In addition to the very nice mini-water park, they have easy access to the activities/restaurants along the boardwalk and over at the Swolphin. Plus, mini-golf is a short walk away.

Another vote for AKL. I loved having an escape from the park mayhem. Being in the resort felt like a vacation within a vacation. My kids loved the pool and spent a lot of time walking around looking at the animals. Get them some decent binocs if you stay there.

AKL is the quietest with a great pool and lots to do. Poly and GF are the most convenient. If you're looking to save some money, I'd say AKL. It's considerably cheaper than the other two.

Another vote for AKL. There is always something to do. Do a search for the activities guide. There is cookie decorating, marshmallow roasting, etc at various times throughout the day. The pool is great. We love the animals too. I would be happy to go to Disney, stay at AKL and never go to a park.

We really enjoyed AKL Kidani. Watching the animals in the morning with a cup of coffee was a great way to start the morning. This time we are staying at BW and are looking forward to see all they have to offer.

i would go BC/YC ... You get the best pool on property plus you are in the Boardwalk where there is a ton going on

I will toss in my vote for AKL. I spent hours exploring the resort when we were there in January 2015. When the kids were napping, I would be out looking around. There was always some activity going on for the kids too.

Beach Club/Boardwalk/Yatch Club - you can stroll around the lake, catch some entertainers at night, plenty of restaurants to choose from, bakery/ice cream and shopping without getting in car or Disney transportation.

SSR is great also - Disney Springs - same as above and you can go for a nice boat ride on top of it to get there!!!!

If a deluxe resort is in your budget, I'd go with an Epcot resort.

Have you also considered the Swan? Their pool is very nice, room service is good for late at night when you're tired (or breakfast), the rooms are just completely redone, and it's less than the other Epcot resorts. They have good dining options, plus walking to world showcase at Epcot gives you all that much more!
