We usually stay at a moderate or off site. Looking to try dinner at one of the other resorts as we like to visit the deluxes. We did this once already at the Poly eating at Ohana and it was sooo nice, saw the fireworks from the restaurant, etc. Which would you choose and why? We won't have children with us. Any suggestions would be so appreciated! :wizard:

I would suggest Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge it is great for couples and
also fancy but not that fancy it ROCKS!!!!!:chat:

Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge!! This is our favorite place to go when it is just us two. Great food and romantic atmosphere!

The California Grill on top of the Contemporary. Have a great dinner and time alone with your loved one and see the fireworks in a whole new way; from the balcony on top of the hotel.

Beautiful

Jiko is my favorite.

If you want something that isn't a signature, I would recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe.

My DH would pick the "Yachtsman" at the Yacht & Beach Club, followed by a stroll on the boardwalk before heading over to Epcot.

the top three, in order, are

Cali Grill Contemporary
Jiko AKL
Artist Point Wilderness Lodge

Cali Grill probably has the best food but the Contemporary is sort of a blah resort in my opinion. Jiko has very good food and AKL is a destination resort. Wilderness Lodge is also a destination resort and I have a thing for the national forest resorts and Artist Point does a good job reproducing the dining experience.

I guess I'm alone on this but I would say the Grand Floridian. It is a beautiful hotel! We did dinner at 1900 Park Fare. I would not recommend it. Had I been paying oop I would have been pretty upset. I have heard really good things about the GF Cafe though. The hotel is gorgeous and they also have live music in the evenings. Around 7 when we had our reservation there was a jazz/blues band playing. When we finished there was a pianist. It really is great entertainment.

Not alone. Very nice assessment.

Maybe AKL you could go check out the animals after dinner.

I can recommend:

bluezoo at the Dolphin
JIKO at AKL
Flying Fish at Boardwalk

Never been, but trying Citricos at Grand Floridian in October!

Jiko ...definitely, Flying Fish is a good choice, Shula's at Swan & Dolphin and Artist's Point at Fort Wilderness would be my choices. I wouldn't do Contemporary again but if you've never been before you have to do it once.
