Hello all =)
We are currently planning a trip to WDW for May 2008! There will be 5 adults and 3 children. I would like to know which resort you feel is the most kid oriented? My children will be 5, 2 1/2, and 1 1/2 at the time of the trip.

We LOVED All Star Movies. Granted, the rooms are small - you will probably need two or three rooms wherever you go with a party of eight. The huge Buzz and Woody (and all the others) are amazing to see. I've posted this before, but we stayed at Movies on our first trip to DisneyWorld, and when, on the first day of our trip, we told our then 4 1/2 year old that we had to catch the bus to MK, he said "you mean there's more - I thought this WAS DisneyWorld!" (meaning the resort).

The food court is great for little ones - better than CSR in my opinion (I know I'll get flamed for this!). The entire atmosphere is just so Disney. The pools are great - kiddie splash area near the pool and little "squirters" by Herbie, the Love Bug. Also has a small playground.

We will need to move up to two rooms (or a suite) next trip (when our youngest is 3) and I think we'll probably go back to ASMo.

Have a great trip!

Poly for the deluxe, right on the monorail route.

CSR for the mod. There is a playground at the main pool along with a kiddie pool.

Both have more to offer than the values.

I have stayed at both Pop Century and All Star Movies with little ones (under 5) and they loved both resorts. My kids loved the giant characters and the pool, and the food courts at both resorts are geared towards small children. We havent stayed at any of the other resorts so I cant compare them.

Beach Club for the pool and ease of getting to two parks. I have never been, but would like to stay at Poly. My kids loved CBR.

With a 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 if you could stay on the monorail it would be great just because of convience and MK is probably where you will be most of the time. But if you are looking for a fun hotel for the kids I pick All-Star Movies. We just got back from there and we LOVED it. I have said this on another thread that my DD who is 16 and her friend who has gone with us the last two trips when we stayed at WL and POLY both said "why haven't we stayed here before". They both found it more kid friendly, the loved the food court, and they wanted there pictures taken with all the disney statues. They didn't mind the room size but we were hardly in the room, but they did love the room decor - the comforters and the light that looks like a box of pop-corn on the wall and then when you turn it on it dissapears. DH didn't get to go because of work so we are not evalutating this summer's trip to see if we want to change over to ASMo and stay longer or just go back to POLY.

all all stars would be the best for the buck...lots t see and do ..its all kid oriented..

Considering your children will be 5, 2 1/2, and 1 1/2 at the time of the trip you pretty much can stay anywhere. Why? At this age the meer fact your at Disney...staying at Disney will be more than enough. Select a resort where you know you can also have a vacation too. If you are visiting during the Summer months, I would suggest a resort with a great pool like YC/BC.

I think that the AllStars and Pop Century would be more appealing to a kid. There is more eye-candy for them, so to speak.

Our family of 5 had connecting and my parents were right next door. It was great.

I am concerned about the size of the rooms. Of course, I am also concerned with price. I don't want to wind up having to get 3 rooms, for thaty matter, we could all just stay in a suite at another resort!
How small is small? (room size)

Poly for the deluxe, right on the monorail route.

CSR for the mod. There is a playground at the main pool along with a kiddie pool.

I've heard so much good about CSR. Last time I was there I stayed at Poly, but it was just me and my (at the time) husband.

I've stayed at Poly once (not with kids) and being able to use the monorail was really nice. I am concerned with room size b/c we probably will be in the rooms often since the kids will all be under 5, there will be nap time!
My hubby wants to stay at WL, my mom wants to stay at AKL...UGH..help! lol

It does seem like there is lots there for the price, I am just concerned with room size =/

You've made some good points I'd LOVE to stay where the monorail is but I am *fighting* with other people about this. *sigh*
