Hi all! My DH and I are looking to take our daughter for her first Disney trip next September. Because it is September, and because she is young, we want to pick a resort that we are going to enjoy most with her, particularly because it is going to be super hot and we are expecting to take breaks during the day with her more frequently then if it was just my DH and I. My DH and I go to Disney every year, and have stayed at Beach Club before, as well as Saratoga and Boardwalk.

For the upcoming trip, since it is our first trip with our baby, we are looking for advice on best resorts to stay at that is baby friendly, especially with the POOL and kid friendly activities..

Currently we are torn between the following resorts:
Poly Villa studio
BCV studio
WL studio
BWV studio

The best resort for a 15-month old is the resort her parents pay for. :rainbow:

The Beach Club pool can be scary with a small child, although the 2-1 ratio is in your favor there. Poly has an excellent kids' splash play area. WL, it's hard to say if they'll be done with construction on the villas side yet.

For ease of transportation and the splash play area, I'd say Poly.

When our twins were babies, we loved the BC the best with them. Being that they were babies, they fell asleep easily in the stroller (we always brought a very comfortable stroller for them with padded reclining seats and canopy), so we could easily take walks around the boardwalk and also right into Epcot to stroll around the countries, have a drink or snack, or even a meal at a restaurant that allowed the stroller at our table. Those trips were very relaxing for us compared to the trip where we took the babies and stayed at AKL where we had to board buses all the time! I see your resort choices are mainly the easy-to-get-around resorts, so I won't even bother reminiscing about our AKL nightmares lol. So back to BC -- our babies also LOVED the shallow/sandy-bottom pool section there. We spent hours and hours each day at that pool. Whenever we stayed anywhere else, we really missed that shallow/sandy section at BC.

Poly is our favorite nowadays (twins just turned 13). Now they have a splash area that would've been fun for them back then. Can't beat watching Wishes from the beach either. However, my babies went through a phase when they were terrified of the fireworks, so that wasn't always an advantage to us. One thing I can say is we toured the Poly studio and it's quite nice -- love the rainfall shower. It would fit the 3 of you nicely. I have not toured a BCV studio to comment on that.

If you are most concerned about the pool, I would pick Poly for the zero entry pool. I love the atmosphere at Poly for kids as well. There is a lot to see and explore.

My second choice would be BCV because they do have a lovely children's pool area, though you need to keep careful watch since it's right next to the very deep lazy river area. If you are planning on visiting EP and DHS more than MK, I would also highly consider BCV as it will make life with a stroller so much easier. We stay mostly at the EP resorts now and, when my DS was in a stroller, it was so easy to simply walk to dinner at one of the many EP resorts or EP WS and not have to rely on any type of monorail, boat or bus transportation.

Out of your choices, we've stayed at the Poly, BC & WL (although not DVC) and my choice would be the Poly. All of them are great options, but the Poly has a such a relaxing tropical atmosphere, the beach is a great place to watch the fireworks, and the pools are nice. It's also convenient to MK as it's just 2 monorail stops away, it's a quick 5-7 minute walk to the TTC to catch the Epcot monorail, and there is a variety of great dining options at the GF and CR. Good luck with your decision.

POLY only choice there IMO. WL you would have to take your child out of the stroller to load on a boat or bus. Poly is the best bet!!

We just got back and took my 17 month old niece and we stayed at the Beach Club. It was perfect and she loved the pool and playing in the sand dune area. We loved it so much, we are booking BC for next years trip with her. Not only because of the pool, but the rooms were great, the atmosphere and location. Being able to walk to Epcot and take a boat to DHS was awesome. Not having to worry about buses for two parks was great. Buses were surprisingly the best we've experienced. We also took her to Cape May Cafe for breakfast and she loved the characters and the buffet for breakfast is our favorite. It was our first stay at BC, and it quickly became our new favorite resort. We were also able to watch the Star Wars fireworks and Illuminations every night right from the path outside while relaxing on a bench.

We felt the same way. Our twins were 18 months old for our first BC stay and it was our favorite for many, many years....mainly because of the pool and the ability to walk to Epcot and HS. As new walkers, the boardwalk loop was perfect for the girls to practice walking! We have great memories from our afternoon walks in such a beautiful area, and mostly quiet during the afternoons. Also, having the sand on the bottom of the shallow pool really made us feel more secure about pool time. Having that extra padding of protection on the ground was great versus concrete at regular pools.

With an 15 month old, will MK be your primary focus? If so, I'd vote for Poly for the ease of taking mid-day breaks, access to monorail (roll on/roll off with stroller), and pool. The splash area is also really great for littles. And the Poly is very nice for parents too.

We took our three year old and 11 month old and stayed at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. It's not as convenient as the other resorts you're considering but it guaranteed no neighbor noise (because there's not shared walls) and two separate sleeping areas which was a must with our finicky sleepers! We rented a golf cart so we didn't have to deal with internal busses and it turned out to be really fun.
