Best Resort CS locations?

DW and I will be arriving on Monday, Dec 4th and spending that day going around the resorts looking at all the Christmas decorations, taking pictures, etc. We have an ADR for The Concourse at 7:30pm, but need a location for lunch for a CS credit. We are staying at CBR, but don't mind eating at one of the other resort CS locations since we'll be at CBR all week.

So what are some other good CS choices at the other resorts?

Ok I have two answers: the CS menus at most of the resorts are about the same, so pick based on (resort) ambiance

...but here's my second answer: the CS at Wilderness Lodge (Roaring Forks) is really cool...and I have a soft spot for the barbecue at Port Orleans Riverside....

Try the flatbreads and salads at SSR's Artist's Palette...very good! And a short walk to DTD, if you're so inclined.Artist's Palette Menu

I really liked AKL's counter service. They have smoothies and sell desserts from Boma there. Be aware though that you can't use a straw there.

Mara at AKL is excellent.

Another vote for AKL. Excellent food and you can visit the savanna.

IMHO the two best counter service resort eateries are Gasparilla Games at the Grand Floridian and Riverside Mill at Port Orleans Riverside.

Both offer very good options and the service and atmosphere is top shelf!

Our favorites have been Captain Cook's at the Poly and Artist's Palette at SSR, followed distantly by Mara at AKL. We just stayed at WL last week and didn't like Roaring Forks selections at all. To me, it is untrue that lunch and dinner selections are uniform across resorts. Breakfast yes, dinner no.
