Best resort and things to do on July 4th?

Folks,
Coming up on my 7 mo mark to switch resorts for 4th of July. We're currently in AKV (2 BR) and we're looking for suggestions on the best resort to stay at for July 4th and if there are any tips or Must see events that Disney puts on.

In 2009 we decided to make July 4th an easy day... We slept in. Then, we went to Epcot and had an early lunch at Tutto Italian. Then, we did a couple of Kim Impossible games. Afterwards we went resort shopping at the monorail resorts. We figured we should get there early to beat the crowds. Then, I made a dinner reservation for The Wave. But I would think any monorail resort would be fine. Then, after dinner we went to the Polynesian Hotel Beach to watch the fireworks. Just to warn you thousands of other people are doing this as well. Anyways, we got to watch the sunset and enjoy the fireworks. It was great. We met a great family from Clearwater. I was expecting the ride back to BCV to be horrible but it wasn't too bad. It was a great way to celebrate 4th of July. We did not do 4th of July at MK because of the crowds. We did see the fireworks twice that week because they showed them on July 3rd as well.

Next year we'll be at Bay Lake Towers for the fireworks and I can't wait!!!

We went to BLT for the week of July 4th this year. We have never been in the summer months before and I was a little afraid of how bad the heat and crowds were going to be. We have 2 little ones (they were going on 2 and 4 at that time). I have to say, it was one of the best times. I loved the heat and the crowds were manageable. Obviously, staying at BLT makes it much easier since you can walk to MK and the monorail for Epcot.

We did July 3rd all day at MK with the fireworks that night. It was soooo amazing. We loved it. We did July 4th at Epcot and that was also great. We had such a great time that we booked again for 2011 at BLT. Can't wait.

Resort choice I think would be Bay Lake Tower, when we were there this past 4th of July we were @ the Fort Wilderness Campground with our rv, we did Typhoon Lagoon and had ADR @ The Ca Grill so we could enjoy the fireworks from there, it was great.
