best rental rate for a month or more?

My mother and her sister were going to drive down to Florida for a month and visit friends. My mother had a stroke on Christmas day so the plans have changed. She is doing well, the effects of the stroke have gone away and she was discharged from the hospital yesterday, but now her doctor doesn't want her driving and her sister doesn't want to drive from New York to Florida. So they want to fly out next week and rent a car for a month or so while they are down there. Any ideas? They left me in charge of airline tickets and the rental car
