best rental car for5 people?

I have a van and there are 7 of us going to WDW plus my parents. However, my van is not that dependable. My DH wants to rent a van, but that is looking like it will cost us at least $250 for the week. I was thinking that 2 people could ride with my parents and then we would just need a car for 5 people. What is a decent rate on this size of a car and what category would it be listed as? Also, what is the latest I should start bidding on priceline? We might trade my van in Nov. and I would hate to have already made a resv. on priceline. Thanks for the info and I hope it's not confusing! I am new at the car rental business!

Most full size cars will comfortably fit 5 passengers. However, trunk space for 5 people's luggage might pose a problem. Check out the various rental car sites - they will give you a description of the cars they rent, including how many passengers and bags they will accomodate. You don't say when you are leaving for your trip, so if you are considering trading in your van in Nov. you might want to hold off bidding on Priceline until you are sure you need to.
