Are AP rates only available for regular rooms, or are deluxe rooms (necessary for a larger family like ours) available? I checked online reservations, and there are deluxe rooms for our dates, 3/1 - 3/6/06. Can anyone please find out what the Best Rate for those dates?

TIA.

(Edited dates, as spouse just came home with new Unofficial Guide, and better attendance numbers in early March, versus late March.)

A word on attendance figures.
You can get a figure on how crowded parks will be for certain hollidays or times of the year. But there is no way to be accurate on 1 time of a month versus another without a major event causing the change.

IE: yes...early january will be less crowded than mid march because of no hollidays, off peak, and no spring break.

But early march will be just as crowded as late march, since march and april are spring break months.

I didn't know if you still wanted these checked since it's been 2 days since your original post ;) , but tonight BR shows $2154.24 (includes tax, etc.)for 6 nights checking in on 3/1/06 for WL Deluxe/Concierge/JD. I had to use arrival 3/1/06 and departing 3/7/06 to get WL DLX to show in BR, when I used depart 3/6 Deluxe didn't come up, just standard, etc. Also this is for 2 adults as you didn't list number of kids and ages in your post so I couldn't list them in the quote and they'll be extra $, but hope this gives you an idea to compare with anyway! :earsgirl:

Arrival 3/1 - Checkout 3/7
Standard $1110.60
Lodgeview - add $173.88 to "standard" view rate= $1284.48
Courtyard - add $441.48 = $1552.08
Concierge-JD - add $1043.64 = $2154.24

Arrival 3/1 - Checkout 3/6
Standard $925.50
Lodgeview - add $144.90 = $1070.40
Courtyard - add $367.90 = $1293.40

I actually ended up booking the VWL portion of our trip by renting points from a DVC member - 2 BR for $2000 total (five nights). Since the 2BR is about twice the size of the deluxe at the WL, it seems worth it, even though the BRP is slightly cheaper.

Now I'm working on the weekend, hopefully at AKL. But thank you so much for looking up these for me. Hopefully, the info will help another DIS reader as well.

Addendum: Forgot to mention we have 4 kids, so while we fit in the deluxe, I imagine it might be a little tight. Then again, we just spent 6 months on the road in a 30' RV, so anything seems luxurious. ;)
