Best Rates for Moderates at Value Season?

I did pretty well with codes this year with our rate for AKL standard $ 170.00 (which was then upgraded to Savannah view).

But I promised my DH that I could beat that rate if we could go again in 2 years. I don't know if this is realistic.

Would some of you mind sharing what discounted rates you got for moderates during value season?

We always stay at the moderates. This upcoming trip (Jan. 2009) is the best deal I've gotten so far. The rate for Value season is $149 per night. I got the buy 4 get 3 free deal, so it averaged out to paying right around $85 a night!

That's a great rate! Wish we were able to stay that long, but our trip will probably be 5 days the most.

I'm not sure exactly when you will be traveling. I'm guessing in 2010 (AKL this year, go again in 2 years). By that time, I'm pretty sure that rates will have gone up. Of course, if the economy continues as is, they might not, and deals may still be plentiful.

Right now with code OZI, a room only rate is (from Mousesavers):

• Moderate resort, Standard view, Value Season, $94 plus tax (Sun-Thur nights)
• Animal Kingdom Lodge, Standard view, Value Season, $154 plus tax (Sun-Thur nights)

There is also a corresponding package discount with similar rates which is better for those staying less than 7 nights (the 4/3 deal isn't their best bet).

Yes I will most likely going in 2010 but I am only comparing what I paid this year to other rates this year. I would think the difference would be comparable in 2010. Thanks for the info!
