Best Rates During Xmas Week

Hubby has granted my christmas wish!!! A trip to the world next year at Christmas. Looking to check in on the 26th and check out on the 1st. What rates (AP, FL Res or otherwise) did you get for this Christmas?

I am looking for $$$$ amounts that people paid, so I can get an idea of which resort we can afford to stay in, looking at PC, POR, or WL

Snoopy, the search is again disabled but I am also spending Christmas 2004 with Mickey and thus have been taking notes. Yes, I am a bit anal, lol. Here is what I have in my notes from previous posts:

WL - $109 (very few got this, more said $170)
AKL - $109 same as above
Cont wing - $170; Cont tower $229
ASMo - $55
Poly - $179
GF - $199
FW Cabins - $155

I don't have any moderates in my notes because we are a family of five and cannot fit in a single room but I'm pretty sure they were appx $84.

These were nearly all AP rates. I don't live in FL so don't write down those rates usually.

I believe but I'm not positive that you needed to check in prior to Dec 25th to get the above rates.

The week between Christmas and New Year's is the busiest time of the year for WDW. It is a rarety that there are any discounts for check-ins after 12/24 at all. Ususally the check-in dates for discounts end a couple of days before Christmas, but it depends on the day of the week that Christmas falls on. I doubt there will be many, if any, discounts for check-ins after Christmas in 2004.

If you qualify for Nurse, Teacher, Government Employee, you can make your reservations at Swan/Dolphin for that week now and probably get the discount. You will have to put up one night's stay for deposit, but you will have to place a one night's rate at rack rate as a deposit for a Disney hotel.

Minnie's Mate..... it is possible to make a reservation at the Dolphin with the discount rate but only through December 31. I know because I'm trying to add a night onto my exsisting reservation but the DreamsUnlimited website doesn't allow you to go into 2005. Discounts at the Swan are not available yet for Christmas... only through August.

We got an email rate sometime in October for 109 at WL or AKL which was good til December 24th. I tried all dates for WL but they had nothing, AKL was booked for Oct and Nov but did have openings in Dec for the 109. We stayed 12/22 through 12/28 at 109, and our room was lovely. We were upgraded to a pool view, which also had a view of the Uzima savanna and the giraffes. It was on 5th floor and we loved it. If you start your stay by the 24th, you can keep that same rate for however long you stay. In other words, the rate doesn't jump up after the 24th. Our same room over Christmas week would go for 365, so we felt we truly had a great deal!

I just returned from a 2 night stay in Poly conciere 12/25-12/27/03. My AP discount rate was $262.00/night. This year the AP discounts ran up to 12/26 and if you began your stay before that date all your days would be at that dicounted rate. GOOD LUCK for the same discounts next year!!!

jjskribs, you might try calling Swan/Dolphin at (888) 828-8850 directly or you could call Dreams Unlimited and speak with an agent. You may have to e-mail if you don't have the phone number for your agent.

I had tried several times with the Swan for our Presidents' week trip and they had no rooms at discount, only at rack rate past our first night. I went through DU website and they were able to get the room for our entire trip for us even though both Swan and Dolphin had said they had none earlier that evening. Seems DU has a pretty good deal set up with S/D and can get them when the general public can't.

We're just back from a week in WDW. The AP rates were available for check-in thru 12/26. We had a rate of $88per nt at CSR, however we decided to switch hotels upon arrival(no problems with CSR-we're just nuts!) and got the following rates when I called from our room on the 26th- $166pn AKL pool view,$189pn Poly GV, $194 YC,BC,Boardwalk standard view, $262pn Poly GV concierge. I only asked for Deluxe AP rates, so I don't know what the value rates were. We also stayed at the Dolphin for a few nights at AP rate of $139pn. The rates have been fairly consistant over the past few years-paid $189pn for GF gardenview last year and $189 for YC the year before. As long as your stay starts by the last day of the AP rate, it's good for the length of your stay.
