Okay, here's my delima:

My DD(3) and I are going to WDW for Christmas from 12/20 to 12/23 :earsgirl: . I cannot for the life of me decide where to stay, but I do have it narrowed down to three resorts. They are: Poly, CR, and GF! All are available on best rate ranging from $582 CR standard :) to $1100 for Poly CL :flower: . The money saver in me wants to stay at CR and spend that money on fun stuff for DD's and wonderful DH's Christmas presents and do the Perfectly Princess Tea...she LOVES Aurora! But the traveling by myself Mommy, with Daddy urging me, wants to stay at GF GV for $411 more or Poly CL at the highest price mentioned. We are going to CR for MNSSHP on 9/30 and staying in a CR standard, so here is my question:

If I book CR standard now, but decide after we return that I would rather stay at GF or Poly, after having stayed at CR standard (and it is still available) can I switch resorts, or does non-refundable mean "NO SWITCHING RESORTS!"? :confused3

Okay, so who knows the answer to my question? :bitelip:

Thank you!

Yes, if you book best rate and then change your mind, you can change your reservation. However, the resort you want has to have best rate rooms available in order to keep the discount. You will not be charged the $50 change fee because it will be more $$ with GF or Poly. (There is a question as to whether they are charging the change fee at all anymore, no one knows for sure).

So, you could take the chance and hope that there are still best rate rooms available when you get back. Good luck to you!

this is sid from the DRC. tjmouse is right, but only on packaging. now, with CRO room only's, you have up until the date of arrival to change the reservation. since you'd be getting a room with the "Best Rate" on it, it'd automatically become a CRO room only. so you don't have to worry about getting a change fee by changing resort. however, changing resorts would cause in a new reservation number for you to keep track of. for more information, give us a call at 407-WDISNEY (934-7639).

Well, thanks Sid! Where have you been all our lives? We need someone on the inside here! You really opened a can of worms here depending on how many people see this post ya know! Can you give us any word on the possibility of an AP CODE being released for Oct. 5th forward??? Inquiring minds are going insane!

My bad Sid, looks like you have already introduced yourself on another post. Glad to see a Disney CM on here (we have a few)!
