Best Rate-seem like rates less during Holiday than Reg.seaon?

I missed BR initially for the dates I needed 11/8-12. But now that the 120 days window has changed, seems like the BR rates I'm seeing are worse that what others posted they got for the upcoming Holiday period when rack rates are higher. Am I imagining things?

For example WL courtyard at best rate came up 245 a night 11/8-12
For 12/25-29, it comes up 206.

I think that's kind of sucky for those of us going regular season but Disney is certainly entitled to play with their discount structure whenever they like.

I gave up and booked a decent rate at Dolphin at 189 a nght. BR is way higher than that at the EPCOT resorts or they are just flat booked up.

I noticed that too. We are looking at almost the exact dates as yours, and Best Rate was WL $245 Courtyard, AKL $206 waterview, and PO, $139. For the past 10 years we have been going to Disney in November, and these rates by far are the highest of any rate we have gotten in the past.....I know someone posted they got a $129 rate at WL for the week of Christmas...go figure.

Frustrating isn't it. Makes me wonder what the projection for crowds is around Christmas. Maybe people were booking off site because there have really not been a whole lot of discounts for the general public?

I did have POFQ for my dates w/AAA and it was 140 including tax. From reading here, best rate that they have just opened up (by changing the window) is the same.

I'm just glad I caught 189 at the Dolphin and didn't wait for Disney any longer. That Dolphin rate was gone right after I booked it.

I gave some thought to changing everything to go Christmas but in long run, I'd stay longer and it would cost me more. So I'll give my $ to Starwood and Loews this trip. I've stayed at Dolphin before and it's first class in my book.

We're going over Christmas week (12/25-1/1) and our rate at the Poly garden view is $260/night, about $1800 for all 7 nights, inc. tax. The same room for 7 nights in November would cost us $306/night, around $2130 for the week. We didn't want to go the most crowded week of the year, but it was all we could do and now I'm actually happy about it since our rate is less than it would have been during a less crowded time.

I think it all depends on where you are staying. We were playing around with Best Rate when it first came out for early December, before our Chrismas dates were released.

When we went back and looked at Christmas dates we were pleasantly surprised by some, but others were not as good as when we had looked earlier.

Plus, the system isn't exactly solid. We'd look at AKL and get a price and go back ten minutes later and the price was different!

We've never had that problem of rates changing so I think that's fixed now. We've been logging in several times a day to check for availability at CR for our trip and get the same rates for every resort everytime. Of course, some of them are selling out so they're no longer listed, but what is listed is always the same price for us.

Are there Best rates for the week of the 26th of December on or does it end on the 25th? Thanks so much

Pretty sure the last date you can check in is the 25th, but if you check in that day you can stay all week at the same rate!
