Has anyone ever reserved with this new program and then had their rate LOWERED?

Yes, a couple of people I know on another board had their rates lowered after they booked. However, it seems sort of rare.

I did. We're booked at AKL at the end of January and our rate was automatically lowered by something like $25/night.

Yes, that also happend for us for our January AKL trip. We had a message on our phone that our rate had dropped per night. I thought it was strange, but I was very happy about it. It really made me think an upgrade...(I wonder if that is the result they usually get?)

I believe the first instance of where the price actually did drop occured just a few weeks ago, and there were quite a few messages from folks anxiously awaiting and then confirming that the program did indeed work as promised: They received their price reductions.

We had a standard room at the WL reserved for Jan. 31-Feb. 7 with the BRP cost of $150 tax inc. per night and it dropped to about $121 per night.

Yes it happened to me too. I had Pop booked for $59 a night, then got an email from BR CM and told me that my rate was dropping to $49 a night. So I went and booked 2 more nights, esp. at that rate. My date was Feb. 4th, so I added the 2nd and 3rd after my airfare (United) announced a sale yesterday and my airfare dropped from $156 to $116, saving me $80 for the 2 of us....so it went to 2 more nights! (I'm actually staying 8 nights since we move to the VWL for 5 nights on the 5th.) I've been happy with the BRP so far. I modified yesterday and it couldn't have been easier. I think there will be some general public rates announced soon, that is why they dropped the Passholder rates recently.
