New to this forum, please be patient with my "silly"questions!!
We will be going to WDW in Dec/2004 and will be visiting MK (1 day) and AK (1 day). We will need to purchase two day passes for 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 4 and7). Does WDW offer a two day pass or do we have to purchase 2 single day passes for the 4 of us??? Do we have to buy these direct from WDW at time of visit or does anyone know where we can purchase them for a less expensive price? We are not willing to do a time share presentation (we do enough of that in Mexico!!!) to get them for free/discounted since our time is very limited in Orlando.
ANY advise would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty sure you will need to buy one day passes at the gate.
They don't sell two day passes (at least I have not been able to find them)

If you purchase the 2 days at the same time...They give a slight discount. They used to call it a "bounce-back" pass but have since renamed it. I think the rebate was approx. $5 per person over the cost of buying 2 seperate 1 day tickets....Does it make sense?

Don't think that any of these questions are silly at all....Trust me, when I started coming here I had no idea what Animal Kingdom was so I say you are pretty smart.::yes::

Disney only sells the 2 day passes for conventions and group functions, but they have a link on their web site to purchase 2 day passes and other passes. I have not tried this yet but I have heard of other people who have used them for shorter visits with no problem. They do expire in December, so they should be okay for you.

When you follow the link it takes you to a page which states the tickets are for May 2005-for specific dates.
I see they are convention tickets...so what happens if you are asked what convention you are attending and your not really entitled to be using that type of ticket?

I noticed from another thread that your staying off-site...
How about this:
1) Stay at one of the AllStars or Pop Century:)

2) Purchase an Ultimate Park Hopper(the ticket that you get when you book a room/ticket package with WDW):)

2) Check in EARLY on the morning of the first day you want to see the Parks, either MK or AK:)

3) You'll receive your ticket to ALL the parks which is good from the time you check in, until midnight on the day you check out.:)

4) Jump on the WDW Resort Bus and head to the park of your choice.:)

The only problem that might exist here is if you have to have a "minimum stay" in order to do this, ie the UPH ticket....I do know that with any of the "promotions" that Disney offers, there is usually a 2 or 3 night minimum involved...but if this isn't a promotion...it would work.:)

One easy phone call to WDW would solve it...or does anyone here know for sure???

I've probably created more questions than helped...???:teeth:

Hope it does help!!:)
:sunny:

ed. to add..Nope...won't work...I tried on the website to see if it would give the UPH's for a single night stay, and it won't...
probably to avoid just what I proposed!!!

You require a three night stay...sorry:( Back to the drawing board:)

I would MUCH rather stay on site but I have checked a 3 night rate for the value WDW hotels and the best rate I could get so far for 3 nights (Arriving Dec 20 - Departing Dec 23) is 386US/3 nights (compared to 108 US/3 nights at the Comfort Inn LBV) and then adding WDW tickets to this (3 day hopper) it brought the total up to about $1100 US . YIKES!!! Too much for me. I also would only require a two day WDW pass since we are driving from Ontario and won't arrive until the afternoon of Dec 20 and have to leave morning of the 23rd to drive to Panama City, FL (for 7 nights) for the remainder fo our holiday.

Any suggestions on how to arrange inexpensive two nights at a value hotel plus two day WDW pass for two kids and 2 adults???
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

Thanks again to all who have offered suggestions to me (WDW rookie!!!)

have you thought of using airmiles for Park Hoppers? I know that 5days would be way more than you need...BUT PH's don't expire - you could have those days for another trip in the future...

...and here I go again...;) Unless the Airmiles tickets *do* expire....but they shouldn't...hmmm again:):)

Anyone else have any experience with them?

If you do decide to go with the BounceBack Passes, don't be afraid to insist to purchase them..I think it was the Unofficial Guide that said you have to be persistent in purchasing these - Disney would rather you buy the hoppers, obviously:)

Another suggestion - post over on the Budget Board as well, or Orlando Hotels...

Wouldn't it be great if Disney was free....:scratchin

Pretty much your only bet, if you want to buy your tickets before leaving, is to do what MBB has suggested and get a 5 day hopper. Disney hasn't authorized anything less than the 5 day for sale in Canada. Believe me, I've tried. The good news is that the remaining days will never expire, so they'll be there for your next visit.

Think of it like an investment, since ticket prices will only go up!

this is your best bet,

Stay off site for the night of the 2Oth. Then book one or two night room-only reservation with Central Resverations Office (CRO), before you leave.

When you arrive at the Disney hotel, very early on the 21st purchase UPH for the time you are staying at the Disney Hotel.
One night, check in 12/21, check out 12/22, will give you two days of full park hopping, Two nights, check in 12/21, check out 12/23 will give you three days of full park hopping. UPH lasts from time of check in until midnight on the day of check out.

You cannot book this via the website you must call CRO and ask for a room only reservation.

Watch the resort boards or www.mousesavers.com for room only discounts and they can be applied after reservations are made and that could reduce the cost of staying on site. You can't beat the magic of see your little ones seeing a three story Mickey Mouse for the first time.

Touring:

If you can do just a one night at a disney hotel, you could do a full day at MK, with a 4/7yold this is a must. If parade patterns follow last year then the 21st could be a spectormagic night and early morning for MK. And then a half day at AK and half day at MGM.

If you do the two nights then you could do the above one night tour plan and a spend the last morning at a water park, which is included in the UPH. And if you are leaving late on the 23rd, the spend the afternoon back at MK.
