Best quick service in DHS?

Hi Everyone!

I'm heading to WDW in early 2018, and I'm going to be spending about half a day in DHS. As others have said, not much is open there; I mostly want to see Star Tours and Toy Story Mania because we skipped DHS on my last trip, and probably a couple of shows depending on timing.

Since I don't really want to waste too much time (or money) on a sit-down meal, I'm looking for suggestions for quick service. Just a regular burger place will do, something like the Starlight Cafe in MK. Any suggestions? DHS is my least favorite park - at least until all the new stuff opens - so I don't know it as well as the others.

Thanks!

Thanks! Just looked up their menu - it does look pretty standard. I'm not wild about any of the sit-down restaurants in DHS, so this should suffice.

Backlot Express has the traditional burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken nuggets menu too. I believe they also have a refillable drink station so you can get refills for your soda.

No kidding jimandami- we are not fans of DHS food options either. We're big Toy Story fans though, so when my husband found out there was a Pizza Planet, we *had* to try it, right? ...It was comically disappointing :|

Did Pizza Planet have the claw game?

If you are only spending half a day at HS, maybe go for some sort of filling snack like a Mickey pretzel or a pastry and then eat somewhere else.

You'd think so, wouldn't you? But no o_O

edit to add: this was on our honeymoon in 2014 ...so maybe they got their act together since then. We were just too disappointed to ever go back :P

Honestly splurge a little and get something at the outdoor lounge for the Brown Derby if it's open.

Well Pizza Planet got switched into Pizza Rizzo anyways. Have not heard a lot of rave reviews about that place either.

The Brown Derby lounge is pretty good! We also have had good luck sitting at the bar at 50s Prime Time...you can get the full menu there and don't need an ADR.

Popcorn & pretzels.

Agreed that none of the food is spectacular, but we typically eat at Backlot Express (typical theme park food) and Fairfax Fare (tasty and large baked potatoes).
