This will be our first visit to DL and we are bringing our two little ones. We will mostly be doing quick service dining and need suggestions! We will have 2 days at DL and one day at CA. What are your favorites and what do you get?
Thanks!

Hungry Bear-fried green tomato sandwich

Corn dogs at the little red wagon-so good and I am not a corn dog person

Definitely the fried green tomato sandwich and cupcakes at Hungry Bear.

At disneyland:
Hungry bear- fried green tomato sandwich. We love sitting by the water and watching the ducks and the boats go by.
Riverbelle terrace-great place to eat breakfast while enjoying the scenery of the rivers of america. Kids always gey the mickey pancakes, i like the cinnamon bun french toast.

At California adventure:
Boudin bakery-soup in a breadbowl.

Our absolute favorite quick service is at the disneyland hotel. The tangaroa terrace is awesome at night. The tiki torches and live music really make for some great ambiance. I always get the tangaroa terrace salad, DH and DS think the Hawaiian burger is the best.

We like rancho del zocolo, Bengal barbecue, and the corn dogs cart...the first two especially when dd was little because we could order her something other than the chicken nugget kids meal.

Wanted to add the lucky fortune cookery in DCA for the same reason! Chicken and rice on the kids menu... Made my dd very happy :)

When are you going? I see a lot of Hungry Bear recommendations but if you're going in the near future, it may be closed.

Best counter services is the Plaza Inn with their Chicken meal for lunch or dinner! So good and big enough to split for a light appetites. ( I have at different times split between my self and my DH or 8 year old DD). It is a good value for what you get, plus the inside ambiance of the Plaza Inn can lead you to forgetting that your in a theme park.

Probably my favorite meal at a QS restaurant is the Plaza Inn. Their "specialty" Fried Chicken is very good. IMO, this is a "don't miss" if you like fried chicken.

Other favorites in the Magic Kingdom:
1) The Mexican Restaurant found Frontier Land (next to Big Thunder) Rancho del Zocalo Restaurante has decent food too.
2) The Golden Horseshoe (see a show while you eat - always a favorite with my family)
3) Harbour Galley (across from the exit to HM) has limited seafood options for a change of pace.

In California Adventure:
1) Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta (near Goofy's Flying School) is a large buffet set up with lots of options
2) Corn Dog Castle (also near Goofy's) is a crowd favorite and almost always has a line
3) Pacific Wharf - has several restaurants to choose from and you can dine by the water, outside under the sun, my family likes this spot too. But, check if it is open when you travel I think it is closing for refurb due to the 60th anniv. of DL this summer.

In DTD:
1) Earl of Sandwich. My family enjoys this too and we were happy to see this favorite from WDW come to DL a couple of years ago.
2) La Brea Bakery Express
3) Napolini (next to Naples) offers pizzas to go and other quick fare

Happy travels! Have a great trip!

I agree with planningjollyholiday about Tangaroa Terrace at the Disneyland Hotel. It's got some interesting menu items (including breakfast), and sometimes the outside patio can be quiet. The last time I was there I had the chicken sandwich -- the chicken was breaded with Panko and it came with tamarind BBQ sauce and green papaya slaw, as well as sweet potato fries. I assume the sandwich is still there, but if not they have other good items.

I also agree about the River Belle Terrace -- this is the only place at Disneyland Resort that serves full-size Mickey Mouse pancakes.

I agree with HappiestHaunt about Plaza Inn too -- their chicken has become famous because it's a generous portion, tasty and not-too-ridiculously priced.

I like Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney -- while not being a Disney-owned restaurant, the sandwiches are yummy and affordable. You can eat there or get them to go. For a "limited time" their popular Cannonballs meatball sandwich is back on the menu, and it's a good sandwich!

A lot of people speak highly of White Water Snacks at the Grand Californian Hotel, though I have not yet tried it.

Another vote for Plaza Inn!
Great food, beautiful surroundings and one of the last places to visit and see true original DL space (in this case as it was designed by Lillian Disney).

Another vote for Plaza Inn if you like fried chicken. :)

In DL our other faves are Rancho Del Zocalo, and Stage Door or Red Wagon for Corn Dogs.

In DCA Flo's was a must do, but we have not been since they changed the menu. Also the chicken pasta dish at Boardwalk was one of my favorites of the trip. Whitewater Snacks is also a nice uncrowded option for lunch(nachos are great here).

3) Harbour Galley (across from the exit to HM) has limited seafood options for a change of pace.

Harbour Gallery is my new favorite place...in addition to the lobster roll and clam chowder, they have an amazing BBQ chicken stuffed baked potato and one of the few places in the park that has sweet tea.

That was lunch yesterday...mmmmmmm.

My other go to place is White Water Snacks which is tucked away just by the DCA entrance inside the Grand Californian Hotel by the pool. Great breakfast and lunch options and no matter how busy it is in the parks it is always mellow and you can always get a table since no one knows it is there. They have inside and outside tables. My favorite there is the chicken nachos. Even if you are not a resort hotel guest you can go there and use the entrance to DCA even in the morning. Just keep your receipt and they will let ya back in the park if they are checking room keys which they do until about 10am.

We LOVED the Hungry Bear- if you go on an off time there is SO much room!

We also really enjoyed the Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast- so good!

We went to White Water Snacks at the GCH 2-3 times and it was great price and good food- we took it to our rooms but there is seating too.

We really enjoyed Flos for breakfast, but I've heard mixed reviews about lunch/dinner.

We went to the Boardwalk Pizza/Pasta for lunch and not only was the food bad but SO SO expensive even compared to the rest of the park- we had 3 pieces of pizzas and 1-2 small side items (an applesauce cup and a milk I think) it was about $50 for 3 to eat AND we were still starving after because a really expensive and not good slice of pizza just isnt enough food when walking 15 miles a day....

I was so surprised by Rancho De Zolo. Way better than I expected. I loved watching them make a super yummy burrito. And it was nice to have something not with a side of fries. :)

The corn dogs were my second favorite.

Jolly Holiday Bakery. You can get your LOs something other than just mac and cheese there!

some of the QS have something called a "kids power pack", which is a healther kids meal/snack. Tomorrowland Terrace is one of the QS that have this. When we went it something like milk, cheesestring, apple slices, yogurt and goldfish. Now I believe its Yogurt, sliced Apples, Carrot Sticks, Banana, and Crackers. So we would stop at Tomorrowland Terrace, get the kids each a powerpack, then the dads would go to Pizza Port and get Salads for the parents. I would share the salad with DH.

Stage Door Cafe for corn dogs with fries. Coke Corner for hot dogs. Pacific Wharf in DCA for awesome soup in a bread bowl. And a churro at any stand. Also Taste Pilots Grill in DCA for the best burgers.
