Best printed guide for a newbie?

Just made this recommendation on another thread, but it bears repeating - the Unofficial Guide to Disney World is a GREAT resource. I've used it for all my planning - it has every detail you could wish to know, or you can pick and choose just the sections relevant to you (I ended up reading it all anyways). Pair it with touringplans.com (parters with the book, provides great plans for park touring), and you're good to go!

So should I buy the UG with Kids, or just the regular one? I have a $10 GC at Walmart and I'm looking at both. One is over $11 the other is under $11.

I was recently deciding and purchased the regular UG and very happy so far with what I've seen. We're going for first time and taking a 4 and 2 yr old BTW.

I'm going today to get UG and Passporter. I'm so excited!
Even though I've been numerous times to the World, I never tire of reading about it or looking at photos of it. Guess that's kind of apparent since I spend so much time here on the Dis. :lmao:

I absolutely loved my Passporter and have used it in 2007 and 2008 for 2 different types of trips....one with girlfriends and one for 25th Anniversary with my husband.

I like having pockets in the back for receipts, tickets...etc. Also lots of space to write itinerary, meal reservations and comments from the day.

Looking at it now brings back the memories from those trips.
