I am trying to decide which one to book for my will be then almost 6 year old daughter..

Cinderella's Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)
Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner (Grand Floridan)
Akershus Banquet Hall - Princess Storybook Dining (Epcot)

The only one we've done on this list was in Epcot & it was great. We had really good princess' and their interaction was great too. We went for dinner. This year I was able to get in at CRT for dinner, so we're going to try that one. :)

Cinderella's Royal Table. What little girl wouldn't want to eat in a castle?!

We've done all three.

Cinderella's Royal Table twice (both times for lunch)
Akershus for both lunch and dinner
1900 Park Fare dinner 1 x

The only one I would not go back to is 1900 Park Fare -hence our 1 and only time going there. We enjoyed CRT better the 1st time, maybe because of the magic of the 1st time experience, but I felt a little more rushed and herded the 2nd go round. Of course, the 2nd time was also a girls only trip so it was 2 moms and 2 pre-schoolers, whereas the 1st time with DD and DH so we had 2 adults to handle all of the pictures, ordering, potty breaks, etc. Enjoyed Major Domo's Favorite Pie for lunch and the Chocolate Raspberry buckle is AMAZING (if you like chocolate suffle you'll love the dessert at CRT)

We thoroughly enjoyed the meals and the experiences at Norway both times. I was afraid we wouldn't care for the food, but we have been pleasantly suprised.

Next time we are just planning Akershus b/c it is a better value, but if I had never gone to CRT I would want to experience it.

We didn't like 1900 Park Fare. After almost 2 hours, we never met Prince Charming and our then 2 year old did not care for the sarcasm of the step-sisters. If you have an older child or a child with a personality who likes that kind of stuff, then you may like it there. We went to lots of character buffets and the food there was our least favorite.

So here are my opinions

CRT- We went for breakfast once and the food was great! The atmosphere was WONDERFUL! It was magical eating in the castle, My kids enjoyed it.
Askerhus- LOVED LOVED LOVED the princesses, when we were there it was Ariel, Jasmine, Belle, Snow White and Mulan. DD had a blast, the characters were fantastic, it was not to busy so they played ring around the mermaid and Mulan Says with the kids! VEry Magical experience for DD! I have videos, food was ok, very bland. Next time we went back for breakfast and it was all good, characters take their time, food was good, etc.
1900 Park Fare-we are fans! The food is delicious. The characters are DEF in character...The stepsisters and stepmother were hilarious. One of the stepsisters asked DS if he was married and rich, lol!

We did lunch at both Akershus & CRT. We enjoyed the experience at both. The princesses were great at both. We had Ariel, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora & Belle (in yellow dress greeting) at Akershus. It felt like we hit the Princess jackpot! At CRT we had Cinderella greeting, Jasmine, Snow White, Belle (in her blue dress) and Aurora. I love Ariel so was excited to see her at Akershus, but it was neat that Jasmine was at CRT for a slightly different experience.

CRT was definitely more rushed and I actually enjoyed the food at Akershus more, mainly because of the cold buffet & desserts. DD got a hot dog & soup at CRT and didn't eat any of it. They gave DS buttered noodles at CRT (since he's under 3) which he didn't like. Both kids ordered their own meals at Akershus and ate a lot. That being said, without a doubt, if I had to choose one, it would be CRT. Yes, it's expensive, yes, it's rushed, but it is just so neat eating in the castle. We are going back in May and DD3 has requested we eat in the castle again! However, we loved both, so we're doing both again in May. This time for breakfast to get a different experience (and fits better with our touring). There can never be too many princesses for a 3 (or 4) year old girl!

We did breakfast at both CRT and Akerhaus in September. We preferred CRT by far.
We are going back in April and are going back to CRT for breakfast and decided to try Akerhaus for lunch (their cold Buffet was excellent)

We went to Askherus with our 3, 5, 7 and 9 year olds (I think that was their ages...:))
It was really relaxed. Everyone liked their food. It was a buffet so the kids were able to eat right away and not wait to be served. Ariel was the greeter and was awesome. She was asking the kids things like "Where did you swim from little fishies?" and "How long have you had your legs?" Even my boys, who are the oldest LOVED IT. Every princess came around spend some time signed 4 autograph books, took pictures with the kids and never seemed rushed. It has a castle like feel inside. I would pick that one.

We have dined at all 3 and my DD7 enojys them all! That being said, if you can secure a reservaiton for CRT and your daughter has never been, DO IT! Every little girl want to go in the castle and dine with royalty. If you have already done that one, both of the others are great. My daughter loved the step sisters and step mother at Park Fare (she is sarcastic like me so she thought they were hilarious!), and the breakfast in Norway is great with several princesses. You can't go wrong with any of them in my opinion. Just let your budget and ease of location with your touring plan guide you!

I was wondering the same thing. My little Princess will be 4 the week we will there. I want to do at least one of them, hopefully 2!

Looking at the menu for Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Hall in Norway at Epcot, it says on the side: Character Dining: Breakfast service and Lunch service, and then they have the lunch and dinner menu. So is dinner time NOT with the Princesses? Is this one the buffet style or just order off the menu?

Also , at Cinderella's Royal Table at the Castle, do the breakfast, lunch and dinner all count as 2 Table Service credits each on the Dining Plan or is it just the dinner that is 2?

Thanks! I need to get my reservations made, we are going the end of May.

We did the dinner at Akershus and it had about 5 princesses. There was a cold 'buffet' of meats and cheeses, but your entree and dessert was off the menu.

Also, no matter what meal you choose, CRT will be 2 credits on the dining plan.

We took our 6 year old niece to both the 1900 PF dinner and the Princess Norway breakfast last January...no one liked the food at 1900PF, it was awful but the character interaction was great although the only one my niece cared about was Cinderella and she saw her at MK that day.

We have done the Norway breakfast twice and that was a HUGE hit with all of us, the food was great and the characters were incredible

Not much can beat eating in the castle. However, we preferred the character interaction in Norway

We have only done 1900 Park Fare so far, but I thought it was great. My boys were very entertained by the step sisters, and then Cinderalla danced with my daughter which just made her whole trip :lovestruc
We really enjoyed it and will be going again.

Our family is planing a trip in March and we are doing Norway BKFT and 1900 for diner we will have 4 girls. Next trip we will do CRT it will be in 2014 but what the hee hay well be back.:rotfl2:

We have done all three, and if I had to pick one to do again it would be Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner- although Akershus is a VERY close second. We went to the meal at the GF on our first trip (DD was 6, and I had my 4y.o. niece as well) over CRT on the advice of our TA. Now having done CRT I think this was good advice. The food was better (although we had bkfst at CRT, so maybe not a fair comparison), and there was much more character time- especially with Cinderella. Cinderella and Prince Charming both came by twice, and we had the mice rather than the step sisters. They were so much fun, and came by the table often. If your DD is a Cinderella fan (as mine was) she may be disappointed that she will be rushed by Cinderella at CRT.

Don't get me wrong, CRT is a fun experience- you can't beat eating in the castle-but I felt as a character experience the whole thing was rushed. At 6 my DD would have prefered the interaction to the location. She was 8 when we went to CRT and then it wasn't as much about the princesses as it was about all the other stuff that went with the experience (wand ceremony, wishing star etc.).

We have done all 3 & are doing them again on our next trip (can you tell I have a 6 yr old princess?)...only word of caution is the Norway lunch is terrible we will try the breakfast there next time & make sure your little one wears her gown!

The best food I think is 1900 Park Fare dinner...although my little girl didn't quite get the stepmother's humor...though she did ask a step sister why did she rip Cinderella's dress?

I like the princess character meals better than the regular characters...I get a kick out of hearing what my little one says to them...although she hugs the silent characters to death...

She will love it no matter which you pick princess:

Cinderella's Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)
Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner (Grand Floridan)
Akershus Banquet Hall - Princess Storybook Dining (Epcot)

We've done GF and Akershus multiple times, and both are good for multiple reasons:

GF Dinner - Cinderella, Prince and Steps, good food, good atmosphere, but service has gone down as of late. They now have a photo package at beginning of dinner that you can pay for - we did it as the photo was very good!

Akershus - Multiple princesses, photo package as part of meal, great character interaction, food is ok and great atmosphere. We have noticed it has gone up in quality and service, so we ate here 2x last trip, and will eat there again next trip. We've eaten here probably 5x in the last 3 years as DD6 loves her princesses (so does our toddler son too!) If you check Disney's site, there are also new menus too (All Ears is not updated).

CRT - Oh boy...One of the worst meals on property, IMHO. We had my birthday dinner there and the service was horrible, food wasn't good, and downstairs photo shot was disorganized. No characters at dinner on a regular basis, although Fairy Godmother and Mice will come out for a celebration activity - they actually did come around for photos as well. No Cindy at tables for dinner though. Horribly overpriced and overrated (especially at 2 credits for all meals). I don't get why everyone is recommending eating in the castle as the experience at Akershus is a much better royal feeling for us - CRT just doesn't cut it on so many levels...

Hope this helps, Tiger

This is my dilemma. Everyone keeps saying that you have to eat in the castle at least once, but that's 2 credits. Since we're only staying 3 nights and only have 3 TS credits each, I'm almost positive we'll do Akershus.

Have ate at all three and all were good! One word of caution: CRT at dinner is the Fairy Godmother Dinner. The princesses do not come to the table. If you are looking for a Princess experience there make sure you eat at Breakfast or Lunch.

What ever you decide, have fun!
