My son's ipod touch died today. I have AT&T and my contract term is up. I was thinking I could get an iphone 5 with a new contract and give my son my iphone 4 (without cell service of course). I was thinking it might be cheaper than him buying a new ipod touch 16GB.

You're going to scream when I say this, but AT&T had an online special that ended yesterday for $100. I upgraded my Husband's phone to a 5 using it yesterday (it was $199 in store).

You might try calling and ask if they will honor the sale mentioned - they'll often do things like that in the name of good customer service
