I need to buy 75 disposable cameras. Any advice on the best place to do it?

I found an internet store that has Konica cameras for $1.60 each (100 min order), but that's so much cheaper than everywhere else that it's scary. Thanks!!

I saw some at the Dollar spot at my local target. It was put out with the new Dollar spot stuff, mostly wedding things. I am pretty sure they are not name brand or may not be very good quality. Good luck hunting.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check it out. Anyone else?

If you find them extremely cheap make sure and ask about expiration dates, the film does get old and they have an expiration date.

While not that cheap, CVS has Digital with Flash on sale this week of buy one get one free. I think it works out to $3.50 per camera that way.

Have you checked Oriental Trading? They have great prices and I have always had very good luck with their products and service. I'm pretty sure they carry those now. Good luck.

Walgreen's has a sale on disposable cameras this week 2/$4.99!

Good luck in your quest!

Check Costco and Sams, I am pretty sure I have seen them packaged in groups of 20 or so at one of those stores. No idea on the pricing.

How about ebay? It's amazing what you can find there.

It is a good idea to check on the expiration date. I haven't used film in a long time, but I remember that expiration dates are something of a question mark, and disposables seem to be more damaged by the ravages of time than "regular" film. I've had disposables come out "less than ideal" after sitting around for a couple months . . . but when I was cleaning out our van to sell, I found a canister of "regular" film that was never developed -- it had to be at least two years old -- and it came perfectly!

What's your 75-disposables project? With more information, we might be more creative and helpful.

This isn't really on-topic, but did you know that both Eckerds and CVS have a never-buy-film-again camera that's aimmed at kids? You buy the camera (there's a plain model and one with flash) for $10-15, then when it's done, you take it back to them. You pay for developing, and they put new film in the camera for free. It's not a top-quality camera, and you have to use their developing services. Opening the camera requires a special tool, so you cannot change the film yourself. For the right person and the right situation, this is a good deal. Lots of middle school yearbooks used to use this (before digital wiped out everyone's need for film).

Everytime Walgreen's had Kodak Funsaver on sale at $3.99 plus I had coupons for $.75 to $1.25 off each I would purchase. I've got 1 for each day of my visit.

Thank you everyone.
I was wondering about Dollar Tree. I know our stores have signs about ordering large quantities of items.

For anyone else interested...
Sams club has a 24 pk for $63.24. $2.64/camera
Oriental trading only have wedding themed and they are "reusable" and not inexpensive.

MrsPete - The cameras are for a 5th grade class. They have a party to celebrate moving to middle school and the PTA thought this would be a nice take-home from the party.
