Hello all,
I volunteer with a non-profit in CT. We grant the 'gift of moments' for families with kids 18 and under, and a parent suffering from a life-threatening illness. Most often this gift is a trip, so the families can spend quality time together, no doctors or treatments, no financial stresses for a little while, and create lasting memories should the worst happen.
A favorite destination for families is, of course, Disneyworld. On several occasions I've needed to rent a mobility scooter for a recipient. We've had great support for our organization from Best Price Mobility. They're on the preferred vendor list, and our recipients have had no problems whatsoever with their scooters. My communications with them are easy and they respond quickly.
I know I had a hard time deciding which company to go with, even after doing much research here. It's especially difficult for me because I'm not there on the trip with my recipients, so I need to trust the vendors we use very much so everything goes smoothly for them!
Thanks to everyone on the board for their help in answering my questions along the way. It's a very different experience planning a Disney trip for someone else, especially those with different abilities.
