best price for moderate room?

We are going for MNNSHP the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend (Oct 4-8). I booked the flight and got my party tix but now am considering a Disney resort. Until now we have used Priceline or loyalty club points to stasy off site but I am considering an onsite stay to try it out.I saw a price of 165/night on line for Port Orleans and thought this wasn't too bad-can anyone tell me where I might find a better price? Please advise anyway you can-I am so green when it comes to the dis resorts!Thanks guys

You'll have a discount of 15% on the room only if you're a CAA member and book the room with them.

I've heard that you can also call Disney and ask for the AAA discount on the room portion only!!!

We always book with CAA!

Also note that if you change your dates by arriving 1 day sooner, you will be in value session for your entire trip. We are going this same time staying at POFQ. Our wonderful CAA disney specialist recommended arriving on Oct 3. We purchase the package thru CAA. Not sure what the cost breakdown is.

You can also try the value resorts.They are cheaper then the mods.
POR is the cheapest for the mods, we stayed there the last 3 years.
