Best price for 1 day ticket?

We will be in Orlando for 8 days. We are doing Universal but want to do one day at MK or Epcot. Should I just buy tickets at the gate? UT says ticket prices slightly higher than gate so I'm confused? Thanks in advance

1 day tickets aren't discounted. The best price is buying them online through the Disney website

The only price break you can get is to go to Epcot instead of MK.

You'd need to buy the tickets in advance to book fast passes.

Disney will make a deal on longer term tickets but for a one day trip, they will soak you.

What eight days are you going? The cheapest way is go to MK is a party. Of course, that only works you are going during the fall and winter, but you can enter the park at 4 p.m. and they are alot of fun.

Keep in mind that the UT prices are quoted with tax already included.

True, but that is not the reason that 1-day and 2-day UT tickets cost more than buying directly from Disney.
(Those UT tickets actually do cost more than buying from Disney.)

I agree with a PP that if you want to do one day at MK or Epcot, the best way is to attend a Halloween or Christmas party at MK from 4pm - 12am. That way you only have to buy the party ticket, not regular admission. There are parties available from August through December, if that's when you plan to visit.
