What month has the best deals for the 4 day and 7 day cruises? Where can I research this? We have been on the 4 day about 3 years ago...wonderful trip! Will I feel cramped on the ship for 7 days? Thanks ...Happy New Year~

The best rates are typically in May, September, October, and early December.

May is just after all of the Spring Breaks have been completed, but before the kids get out of school for the summer.

September and October are during the peak of Hurricane Season, so some people will avoid booking a cruise during this period. No reason to worry... the ship will avoid a storm at all costs, but it does mean that modifications to the itinerary are sometimes made.

Early December is a lull because so many people cruising that time of year want to go at Thanksgiving or Christmas.

the cruise right before Christmas, approx. 12/15, is an excellent time to go. First, you get value season pricing. Also, the ship is decorated beautifully for the holidays - very festive...

Well, I used to always say September until the week before Thanksgiving and the first couple of weeks of December. The current pricing trends for the first of the year are much than in the past. The 3 and 4 night cruises this January are very reasonable. The trend seems to be that people are booking all types of travel closer in due to the shaky economy. Lower prices are not necessarily going to early bookers like the past. If you do book far out, constantly monitor or use a good travel agency that monitors price drops. The summer months over the years have been consistently off-limits if you are looking for good prices.
