Ok I'm taking the plunge...going to start doing paid offers. What is the best prepaid card to get? Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

Definitely Simon card!! I did about 25 offers on CD and RHC and I had only a few that didn't take it (Psych4Free, Keen). What I liked about the Simon card is that I could watch each and every charge go through almost immediately...on the few offers I used a real credit card on, the charges took at least a day to post. Not to mention there is a limit on Simon cards, so it's unlikely they can charge add'l fees after you cancel. It was the best $2 I spent...I made about $465 and I still have $13 left on my $75 Simon card.

Are you using the GiftCard (actual card) or the GiftAccount (no actual card)? I noticed this in the fine print for the GiftAccount ...

Monthly Administrative Fee*: After the first 12 calendar months following the opening date of the Giftaccount, a $2.50 fee will be deducted from the Giftaccount each month until the Giftaccount expires. This fee will not be charged once the balance on the Giftaccount reaches $0.00.

I know I'm kinda tired, long evening at a Graduation Party, but does it mean that if I purchase a GiftAccount in June 2007 that July of 2008, 12 months after purchase, each month $2.50 will be deducted from the card until it expires and / or reaches a zero balance?

If I'm reading that right then you'd want to make sure yu used up your balance before it started getting the $2.50 monthly fee, right?

Still, it's a good offer if only need it for online transactions. I just bought a Vanilla Gift Card as a graduation present and it had a $3.95 purchase fee, just about double.

I'd like to go to WDW sooner rather than later and since so many of you are doing so well ... I may just give it a try again. I used to do them "way back when" but got burned a couple times. I won't mention any names, but for those of you who have around awhile ... you know who I mean. ;)

name wouldn't start with a K would it? ;)

about the card...trust me you'll use every bit of it before the year is up, lol

What amount do you put on the Simon Visa? I got a $20 one from the mall, did one "free" offer (mvelopes on CD) and now I can't use it at all. I am assuming once I cancel the offer, my $20 will be there again. Any advice? Thanks.

It takes about 5 days for pending charges to fall off. I usually go for about $30 on my SC

Would you please clarify?

It was the Gift Account (no actual card) that you purchased and there was a $2.00 fee.

I read on the website if I went to the mall to get the actual card it's $5.95.

Thanks!

Yes, it's the Gift Account and no card is issued. I only use the Simon card for offers, so I keep a low amount on it and when it's gone, I'll just buy another one.
