Ok- I want to go shopping today- I will hit Walmart based on another thread. Who else has good stuff cheap?
I found Target to be a dissappointment yesterday.

Try Walgreens! 75% off Christmas things and also look for the free rocking horse ( see other Walgreens thread). I also got a complete set of Snowman stoneware dishes for $3.xx.

i hit two Walmarts (one by the mall had basically nothing left) and found some great deals. I bought some beautiful pillows, the only thing christmasy about them were they were maroon and green wrapped in a ribbon, for $1.50 each. I also got some lighted houses, wrapping paper, bows, sleds, ornaments, etc. My cart was jammed with stuff.

The best was a local Hallmark store that had everything 50% to 75% off including collectable items. I bought my mil a bear marked $30. for 1/2 price.

Walmart does have some good deals and Old Navy does as well. I got the cutest little pants for DD for $1.99 at Old Navy. And some tops for her at Walmart (adorable!) for $1.99 too.

I'm waiting for Dillards and a few of the other dept. stores to go to 75% off. I'll have to check out Walgreens! Thanks for the tip!

If you have CVS Drugs in your area, their stuff is 75% off. Got Hallmark items (including sorcerer Mickey ornament).

Got surpsied in out Target yesterday -- almost all the board games were on clearance, several puzzles were marked down (including the classic Disney poster puzzles I bought at full price a month ago) and some electronic toys/games as well. We have 2 Targets here and one of them was not having this sale -- the other was. Picked up several games (they had Disney Trivial Pursuit for $14 -- didn't get that but they had it). Now next time it snows, we're all set for entertainment.

It's still too early for the really good bargains! As most people head back to work mid-week, things will start to approach rock-bottom. I'll do a good bit of Christmas shopping for 2005 over the next month.

Targets are still at 50% here today. It is scheduled to be at 75% today, but this was a new store, and there were a lot of employees milling around with signs.. so it is probably later today.


75% off Yankee candles at Bed Bath and Beyond. 75% other Christmas stuff like lenox ornaments, Mikasa and other stuff.

Dilliards had 50% off on most name brand clothes..We were able to get Tommy Hilfiger jeans for my son for $15!
