Best portable trimmer?

Still putting a list together for Santa and thought, "Hey how about a new trimmer". I already have the 12in straight and 12in wavy from CM and a fiskars 12in . But I find the fiskars doesn't cut straight and my CM blades get dull rather quickly.

What is the best personal trimmer (12 in) out there?

I'd be interested in hearing some suggestions too. I lug my big guillotine with me to crops.

I had the little CM guillotine one, but it doesn't work anymore. It makes a very noticiably loud squeak when I use it.

I have a Fiskers 8" guillotine, but it doesn't always cut straight either. What is up with that? Makes me so mad. I expect that from the sliding ones.

I've got to get a new portable one too, so I'm here listening in.:listen:

I have a Fiscars rotary blade one. It cuts straight but is very bulky to travel but I do it anyway. I always bring that one to crops and such because I know that it wont let me down. I have had it for about 7 yrs and have only replaced the blade once and I use it every time I scrap.

I have the Provo Craft Zision trimmer and I love it!

It cuts much straighter than the Fiskars, IMO. It's also very inexpensive so you don't have to worry about something happening to it if you take it to a crop.

I just really want to say I have a purple cow. :rotfl:
Wonder if I can get one put on my Christmas list.

I love my MM trimmer (except that the lines are coming off, I covered them with clear nailpolish after I noticed, but I think they are still wearing off...GRR). However, it does have one problem. It is pretty impossible to make cuts less than 1.5" (like if you want to make embellished squares).

So for the small cuts, I use the Fiskars Euro Trimmer. That's the Triple Track one. But since I use the MM one for the heavy lifting (read Bazzill and especially Bling) I don't go through the blades quite so fast.

I'm on the MM bandwagon here. I have the fiskars rotary trimmer, but the lure of the folding/never sharpen a blade again MM trimmer for 25 bucks at the T'giving sale for my not so LSS was too much to bear.

That purple cow looks quite enticing.

And for the record, there is or used to be a Purple Cow restaurant in Little Rock, Arkansas that sold purple vanilla milkshakes. ;) Great food, too.

I'm on my 2nd CM trimmer......the blade on this one hasn't gone dull yet, but you can sharpen it with wax paper.

I bought the MM one as I was going through so many Cm blades on the Bazzil and BBling :scared1: I wish I'd known about the wax paper - does it work on the personal trimmer as well?
