Best Port Canaveral Rental Car

We are doing a DCL Dream 4 night next President's week. DCL transfers to Port Canaveral.
We need to rent a car after Debarkation to travel to Vero Beach for 3 days.
We will then return it to MCO after.
Any experience doing this? Best agency?

I have never rented a car port, but used a rental car to gt there and parked it at port. BUT....the one shuttle I saw all the time was the one for Budget. It seemed to be the most frequent one there. So, based on that, that's the the company I would recommend.

I've used Avis a couple of times simply because I have "status" with them.

Just about all the rental companies have offices near the port. I believe Hertz is the closest but I wouldn't discount a cheaper rate at one of the others just because of an additional 5 minutes on the shuttle.

Suggest you price out each of the major companies to see which is best for your dates. Book what is cheaper, then keep checking since prices change regularly. Be sure you are comparing the same size car and that all taxes/fees are included in the quote.

Budget is who we used and loved it. Its the closest rental company to the port. THey have 3-4 shuttle vans at the ship to take people back to the rental counter. The cost of the rental was $36 including the gas for a mid-size for each oneway rental we did (one rental to the port and then the other rental from the port to WDW). THere was no way we were paying $79 a person to take the Disney transfer.

Actually Hertz is closer to the port. But as noted above the actual drive time difference is minimal.

Does anyone know if Alamo/National now has an office, close to port, that provides shuttle service?? Last I knew, they didn't.
