Which resort has the best pool for tanning? Drinks? And a dip?

Just two girls 27, no kids with us

Liked to spend no more the 250$ for 1 night.

Coronado Springs! They have a pool bar that serves meals and a nice big pool and slide. And the hot tub is pretty large too.

I stayed at POR in January and was surprised to find that the pool bar there only sold bags of chips. No food.

CSR ... no doubt. Great pool, great space, great hot tub, great beach volley ball courts, perfect for what you are looking for.

Also, great poolside bar. They have great mixed drinks, and beer, but also some frosted drinks :)

WL & POFQ we have had great drinks at both of those.

I'm also gonna say CSR.

Swan and Dolphin have a great pool, hot tubs and awesome pool bar with good food.

I like AKL pool.. Nice Bar..2 hot tubs..Mara quick service right next to it

Right now, I am paying $240..there is a summer deal for $216 at AKL

I would say for this trip I agree with CSR, but that's not accurate about POR. They have hot dogs and nachos and chips and some other snacks and candy. While it's not a meal, it's not just chips. But I agree with the CSR for a kidless trip.

Well, that wasnt my experience. When I asked about food the bartender said all they carried was chips....and thats it. Maybe other times of year?

As long as it's not love bug season, I'd say anywhere. I really liked the pool at All Star Sports, personally.

And my memories of our day at the CSR pool were completely tainted by lovebugs. Don't wear white if there are lovebugs, my goodness don't wear white...and I had a big white coverup. Shudder.

The AKL pool (at Jambo) is really nice, and IMO one of the more relaxing pools to spend time at while at WDW. There's a nice pool bar right there, and many lounge chairs all around it, lush foliage, and 2 jacuzzis. :thumbsup2

AKL, CSR, or POR. Of the two moderates I don't find much of a difference between their pools (and there was food at the bar when we were at POR both times). POR feels slightly busier to me.
My only concern with CSR is that last time we were there was during a huge convention and the main pool was completely closed down to anyone but the convention guests. We had booked 2 nights there at the start of our package just for pool time so that was really annoying. I don't hear of that happening often, just bad timing for us I guess.

And the Jambo pool at AKL is lovely as well.:)

Ewwww! What are love bugs and when is their season? Serious bugaphobic here and I am one of those folks that can't tan. My BFF says I'm so white I glow in the dark!

I don't know exactly. We've been on 8 trips now. We've been in August, May, February and early September and I have never seen them. However my neighbor only goes in September (later in the month) and she sees them every trip it would seem.
