We are staying 3 nts and only have plans to go to MK. part of one day we want to just hang out by the pool. It will be thanksgiving time so hopefully still pool weather anyway, which resort is the best for kids that age? I initally thought of the animal kingdom resort but it was over $1000 for 3 nts. I'd like to keep it under $200/nt. tia

There are a ton of great pools at WDW. I would look into WL. And all of the Moderates. AT PO Riverside you can use the pool at the French Quarters also. And Corando Springs pool gets great reveiws too.

If you are buying the admission passes that have the "water park fun and more option" I would highly recommend one of the Disney water parks. They have areas for kids of all ages.

Otherwise I would suggest a resort that has a zero entry pool. My DD8 loves the pools at Poly and POR.

We were there last year thanksgiving week and only had about 2 days of pool weather. I would add the water park add on when you get there, otherwise it may be a waste of money.
As for the resorts, Coronado has a 10,000 sf pool that is awesome, and a HUGE hot tub, so if it is that cold you can go in that!
My kids loved the slide and the pool, and I think we paid about $140 a night.
The poly has a zero entry pool but that is quite high a nite, so now we have been going to the CSR.
Port orleans has a neat dragon slide that you slide out of his tongue into the pool, and the riverside has a nice pool with water slide also.
It is a matter of taste I think, as they are all very nice!
