I know there was a recent thread about resort pools with toddlers...but I have already decided to stay as close to Magic Kingdom as we can so that we are able to head back quickly to the hotel for lunch/nap/swim. We are only there for 3 days so I want to save as much time as possible while not overdoing things! The other thread mentioned many other resorts (AK, BC, All Stars, etc)...but what if we narrowed it to these four? GF, Contemporary, Poly or Wilderness. I have seen videos and photos of all...and I have admit that the rooms at Contemporary are far more my style.

I guess my priority is proximity to MK, then pool for toddlers, then maybe view of MK for fireworks. I was just about to book Contemporary but then I read about how LOUD the Chef Mickey restaurant is for the MK view rooms. and the pool doesn't seem that great?

I have never stayed at Cont or GF, but out of WL and Poly I would pick Poly. The Poly pool has a zero entry, and that was so nice for our toddler on our last trip. Before booking Poly, I looked at a lot of pool pictures (the pool was very important for us this trip, lol) ~ the Contemporary pool just looked so plain ~ espcecially in comparison to some of the others.

Out of the 4, we have stayed at the GF, Poly, and WL and my choice would be the volcano pool at the Poly. The WL (although a great pool, IMO), doesn't have zero entry and while the beach pool at the GF was ok, we like the Poly pool much better. I know the CR is within walking distance to MK which is great, but MK is just 2 monorail stops from the Poly and the beach is a great place to watch the fireworks with a short walk back to your room afterwards. Good luck.

I know this isn't on your short list...but the pool and splash area at Kidani Village (AKL) is by far my favorite for the toddler set. Regardless of whether you stay at Jambo or Kidani you can use the pool...just a longer walk back to the room (or bring a stroller). Check it out.

Have you looked into renting points/booking a villa? Having a small kitchen/laundry is wonderful with that age. WL was the first slide my now 7yo ever went down. He was a new 3 at the time....and went over 20 times in a row.

We have stayed at BLT, and the walk to/from is great.

Good luck...you can't go wrong at any of those resorts.

I stayed on the 12th floor with a theme park view, and heard nothing. I love the CR. It's my fave resort for many reasons:) I have three kids,DD 4,DS 2,and DS 9 months. The proximity to MK,and the view of the fireworks can't be beat. The decor is also my style. Some will say it's not themed enough, but I love it:)

I'd pick CR. Although the pool isn't very themed, the splash pad is nice. My toddlers loved it. And I prefer walking to MK, even quicker than the monorail :)

You guys are amazing! Not sure I've really decided yet...but I think I have ruled out WL :)
