best plan for DL

i know everyone start with Peter pan... we will do that one morning. but one of our favorites is Indy. also, we have not been on Haunted mansion holiday... so what do you suggest for a plan in the morning, if we want to ride indy and HMH without a long wait. Both will have FPs correct?
Would it make sense to run to HMH to get FP and then run over to indy and wait in the regular line?

Get an Indy FP first and then get in the regular HM line. Then when your Indy FP window starts, get another FP for another ride and THEN go on Indy.
