Best Places to see Characters?

I have a big Scooby Doo fan (DD5, will be 6 on our trip). Where is the best place to be able to see him/them?
What about character meals? They don't particularly interest me because of the times offered, but are they the best way to see the characters? And if so who?

The characters are usually all over the place at the Studios and IOA...you shouldn't have any trouble seeing characters and getting pictures.

I agree with the post above - my 5 year old daughter and I saw characters everywhere. She was a bit young and a little scared of many of the rides and attractions at US so we wound up character hunting a good amount of the time. You will definately have a better chance of seeing Scooby and the gang and US. My daughter got her picture taken with Scooby and Shaggy on Hollywood Blvd. There were tons of characters all around.
