First time going to Disney, we'll be there for about 11 nights as spending a couple of nights at Universal.

I just wondered what people's suggestions were for the following

Best Counter Service for Breakfast, Lunch , Dinner

Best Table Service for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

It doesn't matter if there are Character buffets in the recommendations.

Many thanks

It would probably help to know a little about your party-- kids ages, genders, etc.

But here's where we're eating in July:
Chef Mickey's dinner
Cape May dinner
Tusker House breakfast-- Jungle Book show dining package (Character breakfast w/ Mickey, Goofy...)
Coral Reef Dinner
Crystal Palace breakfast (CHaracter meal w/ Pooh and friends)
Le Cellier dinner (counts as 2 on meal plan)
Be Our Guest dinner.

A few notes:
- If you want a princess meal, my suggestions are either Aukerhaus breakfast (all familiar foods) or 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella, prince, stepmom and stepsisters)
- Other places we've enjoyed:
Yak and Yetti
Sci Fi
Kona Cafe
- We booked the harder to get ADRs at the end of our trip; fewer people have had access to those dates. It always works for us.

Some CS we like:
- Columbia Harbor House in MK
- Epcot-- many of the World Showcase countries have a counter service choice. If you have any picky eaters, the US has typical burgers/ nuggets type stuff.
- my daughter is a huge Toy STory fan-- that means we always end up at Pizza Planet in HS. It's NOT like "real pizza" at home-- more like Elios frozen. But we can get it down and it makes her happy ;)

Tusker House (TS) - For breakfast (Loved it) "Character dining"
Coral Reef (TS) - Gets mixed reviews, but we had a great meal there.
50's Prime Time Cafe (TS) - This is one of our favorites. We eat there on every visit. Great fried chicken dinner.
Flame Tree BBQ (QS) - Animal Kingdom QS. Always eat here as well.

Sunshine seasons is my favorite counter service at Epcot.
Be Our Guest for lunch

Some of my favorite table services have been:
Kona Cafe
Akershus
Grand Floridian Cafe
Captains Grille
Tusker House (breakfast)
Crystal Palace and/or Chef Mickeys are great for first trips (not the greatest food but its more for the characters in my opinion)
Ohana (breakfast)
Boma
The fantasmic dinner package gets you AMAZING seats for Fantasmic- even if you don't arrive super early.

Restaurants we've tried and don't recommend (even though many people do) Garden Grille, Coral Reef and The Plaza

If we skip breakfast at the hotel and head to magic kingdom we get waffles at Sleepy Hollow.

Quick Service:

BOG for lunch, MK
Columbia Harbour House, MK
Pecos Bills, MK, if you like the menu
Starring Rolls Cafe, Hollywood Studios
Rizzo, Hollywood Studios (set to open soon, formerly Pizza Planet)
Flame Tree BBQ, Animal Kingdom
Harambe Market, Animal Kingdom
Pizzafari, Animal Kingdom, good if you have children and air conditioned
Tangierine Cafe, Epcot
Boulangerie Patisserie Les Halles, Epcot
Sunshine Seasons, Epcot
Yorkshire County Fish Shop, Epcot
Wolfgang Puck Cafe - Marketside, Disney Springs
D-Luxe Burgers, Disney Springs

Table Service:
Liberty Tree Tavern - Lunch, MK
BOG, dinner, Magic Kingdom
Cinderella Royal Table, MK (2 credits on the dining plan)
50's Prime Time Cafe, HS
Sci Fi Dine Inn, HS, fun spot to try
Tucker House Buffet, AK, Character meal with Mickey friends in Safari outfits
Yak and Yeti, AK
Coral Reef, Epcot (huge fish tank spans the restaurant)
Garden Grill, Epcot, (family style meal, characters)
Epcot World Showcase - There are SO many! Some of my favorites are : Teppan Edo, Le Chefs De France, haven't been but Via Napolitano gets great reviews (planned for our upcoming trip)

Resort Dining:
Kona and or 'Ohanas, Polynesian
Turf Club, Saratoga Springs
Boatwrights, port Orleans
Bona, Sanaa, Jiko, AK resort, you can't go wrong with any of these
Captains Grille, Yacht Club
Cape May Cafe, seafood buffet
And again, too many to name including signature (2 dining credit restaurants)

Disney Springs:
Raglan. Road
T - Rex, unique to Orlando, ran by same company as Rainforest Cafe
Splitzville Luxury Lanes, bowling and good food!

Hi

Thanks for the suggestions,

We are just a party of two females - no kids - but are avid Disney Fans and can't wait to go to Disney World. Have been to California & Paris not Florida yet.
Also I'm a coeliac myself but I've heard that Disney is fantastic for free from foods.

So as a celiac, if you like chicken pot pie, definitely hit up 50's Prime Time Cafe. Also, Sanaa at Animal Kingdom is my favorite table service in all of Disney. They do Indian food and they offer a gluten free naan bread. You can watch the animals on the Savannah while dining. Their bread service app alone is worth a trip over. My favorite character meal is Tusker House. I actually like to go for lunch but breakfast is great too! Other places I enjoy are Raglan Road at Disney Springs, Boma (breaksfast) at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Be Our Guest for dinner at Magic Kingdom, California Grill at the Contemporary, and Kona Cafe at the Poly.

For quick service, Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs, anything at Epcot is pretty good but for gluten free I'd lean toward Sunshine Seasons, FlameTree Barbecue at Animal Kingdom, and if you're just looking for basic, Disney's gluten free chicken nuggets at virtually all quick service spots are actually pretty decent.

There's a lot more info of the DISabilities board surrounding gluten free options. Disney goes above and beyond!

And not that you asked for Universal spots, but CowFish is great!

Our favorites are - (but pretty much everywhere we have gone we have loved LOL)

QS -
Columbia Harbour House (Lunch MK - ps take your food and sit upstairs...quiet, cool and you can watch the people walking by down below)
Earl of Sandwish (Lunch DSprings)
Sunshine Seasons (Breakfast or Lunch - Epcot)

TS-
Garden Grill (Dinner Ecpot - our #1 must do. Great food, quieter and GREAT character interaction)
Raglan Road (Dinner Dsprings....huge yummy menu. We have never had a bad meal here!)
Kona (Breakfast or dinner Poly resort)
Tusker House (Breakfast....best breakfast buffet in all of Disney - AK. If you can get an adr before the park opens it's great to walk thru AK before it opens and after breakfast go right to the Safari next door because the animals are frisky in the morning!)
Be Our Guest (dinner or lunch MK ....we loved both!)
Captains Grill - Yacht Club lunch. Quiet and delish)

I could go on and on! LOL

I second the chicken pot pie at Prime Time, it was scrumptious!

Our favorite place to eat breakfast is Trails End Buffet

Lunch- At MK - BOG - the carved turkey and roast beef sandwiches are delicious!! We like Pecos Bill and Casey's Corner as well

Lunch at AK- Restaurantasaurus. We are trying Yak and Yeti this summer because I've heard it's amazing!

Lunch at Epcot- Les Halles in France & Sommerfest in Germany

Dinner- Ohana at Poly, Via Napoli at Epcot, Trails End Buffet, Trattoria Al Forno at the Boardwalk

Our favorite favorite Disney activity is Hoop dee doo revue show - the food is great and the show is so entertaining!!!

These are what we liked our last trip:

CS: Columbia Harbor House (MK), Tangerine cafe (EP), Starring Rolls (HS), Wolfgang Puck Express (DS), Flame Tree (AK)

TS: BOG Dinner (MK), Hollywood Brown Derby (HS), Boathouse (DS), Victoria and Albert (GF- might be an obvious but it was so amazing we went twice!)
