Best places for quick food in the parks

Just wondering where the best places are for relatively fast food that is good. Based on info from a guide book, Thunder Falls at IOA and Monsters' Cafe at US sound like possibilities. When we were there three years ago, I had green eggs and ham for lunch; it was okay, but not something I'm dying to have again! Can I get PS for any of the cafeteria-syle restaurants?

Thunder Falls and The Enchanted Oak are excellent! If you like wraps, get the chicken wrap at Thunder Falls..yum! At the studios, I like Louie's Pizza. The food is good and the price is decent.

The quickest food to pick up is a turkey leg. You can find a stand at the Port of Entry in Islands. I can't recall where to obtain one at the Studios. You can also buy a Turkey Leg Platter at the Enchanted Oak Terrace.

We enjoy a lunch at Thunder Falls sitting outside watching JPRA. :umbrella:

At Universal Cafe La Bamba has some good chicken. Richter's is OK for a burger.

At IOA, Burger Digs in JP is great for burgers. Nice fresh toppings bar.

There are several stands throughout USF. I don't recall where the one closest to the entrance is, though.

I know there is one near BTTF.

Beware the Monster Cafe! Great theming, scary food & dirty seating area (@ 11:45 a.m.!) Just walk through to see the movie memorabilia.

Enchanted Oak is my vote for best overall counter serve: food, value, theming, entertainment - Merlin.

Also thought the international-themed food court near BTF was adequate, big selection for picky eaters.

I agree Cafe La Bamba is excellent, and if you have annual passes show them when you pay and you get a discount (actually annual passes get you a discount through out the park)

Thanks for the suggestions! Guess I'll steer clear of the Monsters; nothing worse than a dirty restaurant. We're from Massachusetts and a little fearful of Florida's heat and humidity (we've been to Orlando twice before, both in April) so expect we'll be looking for somewhere cool to eat a quick lunch, altho DH and I might linger and let the "kids" go off. We were going to have a dinner at Mythos, but what is their express lunch?

At IOA, Burger Digs is the best for a few reasons.
1. Huge topping bar.
2. If you arrive to IOA at 9am, and take a lap around the park, you will get to Burger Digs at about 11am when they open. You'll be hungry at this time and the lines will be short.
Everytime I go to IOA with the wife, we go in and eat. If you're not starved, then just get the onion rings as a snack and keep walking to the next ride.

Or you visit Pizza Predettoria just across from it.

I've never seen dirty tables at Monster Cafe and I go there several times a month. Even during the busy times of Halloween Horror nights and Mardi Gras, it has been clean.

There's a little bakery in IOA's Port Of Entry that sells excellent baked goods, as well as salads and croissant sandwiches. Highly recommended if you want something quick and are on the go.
