I know it is early to plan but since the NFL schedule came out this week I am thinking ahead. Poor DH and DD must watch the games while we are on vacation so I need to "schedule" it in to our plans. :thumbsup2

Where are the best on property places to watch MNF and a Sunday game while at Disney?

ESPN is a top choice but there have to be others. So what are the best and why?

OK, I know many will say ESPN, but I think the All-Star Café is a much better place. You are seated on the main floor, and there are LARGE wide screen TV's all around the top of the room. Each table has a speaker/tuner so you can pick which TV you can hear, and you can switch at any time. Most every game being played is shown and the atmosphere is great when different tables are rooting for different teams.

Learn from my mistake from last year. Make sure you get there early. We had to wait about 30 minutes to get seated. Granted we got there 15 minutes before kickoff.

Does anyone know what games will be on the local networks? I would imagine either Tampa Bay, Jacksonville or Miami. I will be there opening weekend and am hoping to be able to watch the Ravens/Bucs game in my room.

I had heard about All Star Cafe, is it different from the food court at all Star Sports or is it one in the same?

Now how to get there from CR? I'll send them on the bus from the MK unless there is a better way.

DH is humbly "thanking" me for "allowing" him to watch MNF on vacation. :rotfl2: He now just has to sell his season tickets for that night. (more money for the mouse!)

IS there any where local that will show all/most games on dish?

We may want to watch the Sept. 24th games.

I would love to see that Jets @ Buffalo (DS10 a Jet's fan)

I'm figuring the game I want to see might be playing Titans @ Miami (since I maybe at WDW and not in Miami to see the game)

Both games 1:00 p.m.

Go JETS and TITANS!!

This is why my vote is for ESPN. You get to watch all of the games. The crowd is great too.

I agree about the crowd at ESPN. We have always had fun there. Since we will be there during Pop week, MNF might be a challenge any where we go!

Positive that will be on local TV, specificaly channel 6 (the CBS affiliate). We get Bucs and Jags games, they also schedule Dolphins when they can.

Re: places to watch. Not on site, but right on 535, Buffalo Wild Wings and Alehouse are good bets if ESPN is just too crowded.

Thanks.

Who's your team? I'm sure it's the Bucs, isn't it.... :P

OT completely, but we're thinking of going down to New Orleans to see the Panthers @ Saints game on New Year's Eve - just tack it on as another one of my crazy football trips... (I'm from Canada so it's quite the jaunt :P)

My husband is already planning to be at ESPN at noon on Nov.26 with my brother. He is a NY Giants fan while my brother is a NE Patriots fan! Both games are on at 1:00pm. It is a hilight of his vacation to be at ESPN for a game! We are already planning to be at Epcot that day for easy access!!!!!

Hate to say it but be prepared to change your plans ;) The NFL is scheduling ALL Sunday games at 1pm from Thanksgiving to Xmas but they are going to move those that are "exciting" to the evening. I don't know that they'd move the Thanksgiving Sunday one but keep your options open in case they do (or hope the Pats and Giants suck this year.... LOL).

We will also be at the World for the Sept. 24 games. Of course, we will be watching the Steelers walk all over the Bungals(I mean Bengals). Anyone ever take their kids to the ESPN to watch the game?

All Star Cafe!!!!!!!!

Didn't even know it existed!! We usually go to ESPN and always thought that was the best... When we went to Disney last Sept/Oct. the guys wanted to watch the Red Sox game. So we went to ESPN it was packed..waited around for about 1/2 hr trying to get a seat, any seat... We asked if there was anyplace else to watch the game... They said ALL STAR CAFE.I'm thinking it was all a little hole in the wall room in the all star movies/sports/music... Well it wasn't.. It is located in the Wide world of sports complex. So we went

It is FANTASTIC!! Same type of food!, huge screens..a ton of them... PLENTY of seating!, we sat in a round booth that was a catchers glove.. Nobody standing above you watching the game. We will always go back to the ALL STAR CAFE from now on!

Shh don't tell :rolleyes1

Exactly, I was starting to think that my note went unnoticed.........
ASC is a much better place to watch sports on a busy day.
