Best Place To View.....

Where is the best place to view the following:
Disneyland:
Afternoon parade -- Will be @ DL one day. Worth watching this or should I skip it and get in as many attractions as possible?
Fireworks show -- Is this like Wishes at the Magic Kingdom @ WDW?

Does Disneyland have a 2nd floor patio that looks down Main Street USA like the Magic Kingdom at WDW?

A DL CM told us the best place to view the fireworks is from the Hub (where the Mickey/Walt statue is located) because then there is a clear view of Tink as she flies. There are a lot of trees so you may want to just sit in the street in front of the castle.

We saw the parade as it came from Small World on the Sneak Peek Day...standing across the street from the Photo Shop - near Plaza Pavilion - was a great area because all the floats stopped there and performed. But, all the media was around the hub area too and that is probably why they stopped.

The parade does stop there regularly from what I can tell--it makes several show stops each time and the Lion King float just happens to stop just before the curve of the hub, which makes that a great spot. The parade is wonderful, esp. the floats, which I've heard were designed by Raul Rodriguez, who does a lot of the Rose Parade floats. These are every bit as spectacular as those are. I highly recommend the hub (castle side) for the fireworks.

Thanks for this bit of info. My DD remarked while watching the parade that it was like the Rose parade !!
