Sorry I didn't know where to post it. We have a chance to go to mexico for two weeks using a timeshare. But I don't know where to go. There is just to many choices for me. Has anyone been anywhere great and would love to go back. I would like to stay at an allinclusive timeshare. Know any websights were there are forums like here to read. Thanks mum

MAYAN RIVIERA...Hands down. The most beautiful beaches and water in all of Mexico. If you want a party life, stick with Cancun area, If you want a little more laid back go for Playa Del Carmen area or near Tulum. If you have a chance (or any interest in Mayan ruins) visit Tulum. Beautiful and very interesting. Puerto Vallarta is nice but the water and beaches just aren't nearly as pretty as the Mayan Riviera side. Mexican Riviera is the Alcapulco, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan (west coast) side. Mayan Riviera is the Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, Tulum (Caribbean) side.

I have to agree MAYAN RIVIERA is THE BEST PLACE to go in Mexico as far as beauty, the beaches and water. We've been there once, Cancun once and Cabo once- Mayan Riviera is by far the nicest.

Another Mayan Riviera vote! It's just gorgeous!

Love the Barcelo Maya. Beautiful hotel, all inclusive and great beach. Just so you know I was in Cozumel last week and the water is not it's usual beautiful self. Too soon after Ida I guess. If you aren't going for awhile it will be no problem.

We went to Puerta Vallarta and stayed at an all inclusive. We loved it and had a blast althought that was our first Mexico trip so I have nothing to compare it to.

Another vote for Mayan Riviera, we are going again in June. Cant wait:cool1:

If you like to party, stay in Cancun and visit the Mayan Riviera. The Mayan Riviera is on the quiet side of things.

Absolutely consider Riviera Maya. You have dozens of gorgeous properties to choose from, fabulous beaches and alot of history and culture to explore.
You can learn more about what Riviera Maya has to offer here:

One word of caution....check to see what the all inclusive fees will be for the timeshare you are going to. The all inclusive is NOT included with timeshares, it's an additional fee, and sometimes you can book a package including air, transfers and all inclusive room for a better price. Just do your homework.

My personal favorites:
Any of the Palace resorts, especially Moon Palace
Paradisus Riviera Cancun
One of the Iberostar properties (prefer the Iberostar Grand Paraiso, as it's adults only and all suites are butler and concierge service)

I'd be happy to answer any questions for you. This is one of my favorite areas to visit.

Hopefully we will nail down where we are going today. As my niece will be home for dinner today. We are going to do an all girls trip now as I just booked a cruise last night for our family christmas present. We go in the end of Jan. I can't wait. thanks again Mum

I'll be the odd one out. We have stayed in the Mayan Riveria several times (4 I think) and never much cared for it, but we love Puerto Vallarta. The water is not as clear but there are still great beaches and the "mountains" comming up to the edge of the ocean are so picturesque. We also think old town is gorgeous and the people are much friendlier than on the other side of the country.

Love the Barcelo Maya. Beautiful hotel, all inclusive and great beach. Just so you know I was in Cozumel last week and the water is not it's usual beautiful self. Too soon after Ida I guess. If you aren't going for awhile it will be no problem.

DITTO on the Barcelo Maya. It is a fabulous resort. My daughter got married there 2 years ago. We had 35 people with us and not one person was unhappy with anything. It was fantastic. I want to go BACK!!!

We didn't go all inclusive when we traded our timeshare. We stayed at the Royal Sands and every unit they have is ocean front/view. They have 4 other sister resorts in the Cancun area that their internal shuttle goes between so you can use all of their ammenities and restaraunts. We took our then 5 and 8yoa's and they loved it. The Royals consistantly get the highest reviews on the TUG boards. Good luck! Oh, and we didn't encounter the "party" atmosphere of Cancun while we were there. In fact, we saw no signs of it.
