Hi everyone,

We will being travelling along I75 to Disney leaving Novemember 26th. We do have the book but are looking for the most inexpensive but nice places to stay. Where have you stayed. It is just me and my DH going to WDW. Thanks for your help.

We just returned from WDW, and stayed at a Comfort Inn in Dalton, Georgia on the way down, and at a Holiday Inn Express in Corbin, Kentucky on the return. Both hotels were clean and secure, and in nice areas. Both served an adequate free breakfast as well. A regular room in Dalton was about $70 US, and the kid's suite in Corbin was $104 US. Dalton is about 14 hours into the trip for you, and Corbin is a little over half way home.

While in Corbin you can go to the first KFC store, we did it was fun.

Also check out the vistor welcome centers for discount motel coupon magazines, they provide your best chance for discounts.

Some vistor centers also have discounts for lodging that they book for you.

Just bumping this up in hopes of getting more replies thank you.

I can't give you the name of a specific hotel, but my DW & I drove to WDW several times (pre kids). We generally had an idea of what state we were going to sleep in. When we entered that state we stopped at the tourist info centres. They generally have books with hotels that offer discounts for bookings made day of stay. We found lots of places for less the $75 and on many occasions less that $50, altho that was 10 years of so ago when they were that cheap. AS long as you're not going March Break or Christmas there is a huge number of rooms so you're not likely to be unable to find a place.

Our favourite is a Comfort Inn at exit 141 in Tennessee ... about 15 minutes south of the Kentucky border. We often go more south going down and have stayed at Hampton Inns, Holiday Inn Express and Comfort Inns at Dalton GA as well. But coming home, we always stop at exit 141. A regular room with a CAA discount is about $71 US plus tax. They serve an excellent continental breakfast. It only opened in the late 90's and we've been staying there ever since. I like knowing what to expect as far as the rooms, the food, and the price. And the staff are awesome too!

Stop at the Welcome Centres in each state and get the newsprint handout that has some coupons in it as well.

HTH!
