Best place to sit around WS lagoon

Folks, my family will be at WDW soon. With the construction at WS (i.e. Morocco and France) and with my understanding that the refreshment zones are being removed (Norway?), is there a good spot to sit and relax around WS. Just looking for others ideas where my DW and I could maybe sit down and enjoy a beverage and take 20 minutes and enjoy the lagoon.

As an aside, I'm worried that WD Company has ruined the lagoon with the barges. So, if you have another good spot in EP for rest and relaxation, any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. May the Force be with you, always!

There are some great tables right outside of the caramel shop in Germany. I also love to sit back by the maze in the UK pavilion, especially when there is live music. In the US Pavilion there are some great tables overlooking the stage area that allow you some great people-watching. Italy has some two-seater tables scattered around that are pretty nice as well. So many good spots!

I like to grab a sparkling sake and sit by the gardens in Japan. You have a lot to look at there, no need to worry about barges. :D That was many years ago, so not sure if seating still there...

Italy is a good spot on the water. There or Germany is where I would go to watch the Illuminations globe come out.

The tables next to the Outpost scattered around the rocks on the lagoon can be nice to relax and view the lagoon as well as people. Also, the former 'smoking sections' which are just benches on either side of the World Showcase center entrance just before Mexico and Canada have decent tree cover and are nice spots after grabbing a Margarita. The aforementioned Japan garden seating areas are usually pretty shady and peaceful though you don't see the lagoon much. If you can score a table on the lagoon at UK pavilion, below the fish shop, they're very nice spots for water views, watching the gulls, etc. If you don't need an actual seat or chair, the low wall along Canada behind the pop up carts and near the handicap ramp can be a good spot to sit and chill.

Sounds bloody good, thanks!

One of the spots we like best are the benches near the waterfalls of the Canada pavilion. You need to climb some steps, but once you get there it is super quiet and lots of benches to choose from. The sound of the waterfall makes it very restful.

Do you know....I never even knew this area existed? I've actually never watched the movie so never went back there.

I was shocked to see all of it on a vlog I watched one day! 😂 Looking forward to visiting it next trip!

Yeah, I guess it's so quiet because nobody knows it's there! We are planning to have a picnic lunch in this spot next trip. It's got some beautiful facades, buildings and rock work in that area.

As a Canadian, I guess I had better know all about this pavilion 😂

Well, I hate to say this being American, but I've never bothered with the American Pavilion either, we just walk right past! :D

This is very interesting. I will check it out with the DW. Not sure what is the best way to say thanks in Canada. Merci? Or, Thankyou, eh!

FYI, I love Canada. My family has done the circle tour of Lake Superior many times and Sault St. Marie is wonderful.

Sault St. Marie is a beautiful area! Adding the "eh" after thanks is how we do it around here... although in our home you're just as likely to hear "Miigwech" which mean Thank You in Cree :)

Have a wonderful trip and hope you find the perfect relaxing spot!
