BEST PLACE TO SEE IllumiNations AT EPCOT

I WILL BE AT DISNEY FOR THE 4TH OF JULY, WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO SEE IllumiNations AT EPCOT?

For us, we always first checked the direction of the wind and tried our hardest to avoid being downwind. Major smoke comes from the pyrotechnics. We loved the spot on the bridge in front of Italy.

There is also a spot that is between United Kingdom and France that is great. Either one is where we try to hit, only after checking the direction of the wind.

We have lucked out on our past two visits to Epcot. We got the latest priority seating at the Rose & Crown pub, around 7:30 I think, and both times got a table on the patio. We timed it so that we were just being served coffee and dessert as Illuminations started. Some of the fireworks go off right in front of you and you can feel the heat. I was the hero to my 3 kids on both occassions. Even if you can't get a table on the patio, the guests inside the restaurant can stand outside when the show starts.

My DW and I like to snag a table at the Cantina in Mexico, buy some snacks and drinks and hang out until Illuminations. We usually hit Epcot at opening (or before!), so by this time, we need to sit and rest the feet. With this location, you can't really see China or Norway "illuminated" too well, but it's a good vantage point to see nearly everything else.

Another vote for the bridge between UK and France. It's a great view and especially convenient if you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts, you can head straight through the International Gateway right after it ends before the crowds get there.
