Best place to see fireworks outside of the parks in Downtown Disney?

We are going to be driving to San Diego in June and spending sometime there. Driving back we are spending the night in Anaheim and spending time at downtown Disney (no Disneyland this time ) so where is the best place to view the fireworks in Downtown Disney?

I would love to know this as well - my arrival evening, I'll be meeting friends in DD or maybe at the DLH and would love to be able to see some of the fireworks from there if possible.

What about viewing from the plaza that runs between the parks?

Many, many nights, upon leaving DCA, but unwilling to go back into DL, we sit down on the plaza between the parks and watch the fireworks. It's FUN. Lots of other happy people sitting and watching, too.

Just go into DTD, through the bag check, as though you're going into the parks, but plant your booty slightly behind ("behind"= the DCA side) the giant Mickey medallion in the center of the plaza and enjoy. Bonus points if you bring something to drink or snack on.

Agreed about the best place being the esplanade between both parks. However, if I don't feel like walking up there and back another location is right on the side of Rain Forest restaurant where the walkway to downtown Disney parking starts/ends. A few benches are located there and I've enjoyed the fireworks from this view as well.

The plaza between the parks is the best place. They even pipe in the music there, so you get the experience. However, there are fewer "fireworks" in this fireworks show than there usually are, because of all the special effects on the buildings on Main St., etc. It may seem like there are some longer lag times between them when you are sitting anywhere but in the park.

I wonder if the reduced the number of fireworks (or the height they fire them to) to combat the "wind challenges" many of the nights. It seems like every other show during our last trip was cancelled due to wind.

I am looking forward to seeing the new show a couple times from different areas.
