Best place to rent points

Is it better to rent through a broker, or go directly through the owner? I've never rented DVC points before and I'm hoping to do it for our Disney trip next year.

You may be able to get w better deal, or w more specific 11-month home resort renting privately. Agencies have more established contracts, records and volume. eifher way, you are likely to have to pay most or all of the fees up front, and it will be non-refundable if you cancel. The owner or agency will have to make any changes to your reservation, including adding Magical Express or room requests.

Many first timers prefer using an agency for the security of not dealing with an unknown person. But most people who list here and on other private sites are pretty honest. Watch out for eBay, and any set week listed on a site, as those are often RCI trades and not supposed to be rented.

I would definitely look into renting from Davids. They are a sponsor of this site. I've had family and friends both rents from him and it was an easy transaction. Plus you get the safety of getting your money back if something goes wrong.

David's and the one we actually used for November have pretty much the same rates. What's difference is usually deposits and when final payment is due.

When we put in for BWV studio, were confirmed it was available within about a day, made the initial payment, and had the WDW reservation number to plug into MDE with about 3-4 days. No problems at all. Already customized the magic bands.
